I read these when I was a YA. I feel like these books are aimed at teenage girls who want good fantasy, so that's why personally I would consider them YA, because of the target audience.Maybe they are more crossover...
They're in the adult section of my library, and sold in the adult section of bookstores, but I read them when I was 15 or so, loved them, and the main characters in each book are around 14-17 years old...so I too would consider them a crossover, and libraries and bookstores should cotton on to that fact!Marillier incorporates great romances into her novels, I have to say.

I loved the fairy-tale retelling of the first book and her descriptions of the Celts.
