Had considered nominating All the Light We Cannot See one month

message 502: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (debbiegregory) | 585 comments The February selection on Amazon is much better than recent months. I got When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, The Saga of Erik The Viking (you know, for kids!) Ammonites and Leaping Fish: A Life in Time

Second Life by S.J. Watson is currently £1.88.

message 519: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie | 48 comments Hi Jo, I noticed that Second Life had come down in price, bought it and have just finished it. It is very similar in feel to the author's previous book, Before I Go To Sleep, a psychological thriller told from the point of view of the female central character, whose knowledge is incomplete. Anyone who liked the first book would like the second I think.

I got a notification for some free Kindle books today, but none of them are - don't know if they were literally dipped for an hour or two, or if ereaderiq has got its wires crossed.

Shame, as there were two I would have had, but not at full price....

I have had that very strongly recommended to me, I thought by you (!) but must be one of my book club buddies. But not read it yet, might also snap it up.

Got that one waiting on my Kindle for when I get round to it. His book Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster is also highly recommended if you like mountaineering books.

The City & the City is 99p today. I thought it was a fantastic book, because it is as much about a murder mystery as it is about challenging perceptions.
