Guys...Have you ever thought about what may happen to Jace? Y'know, cause he is filled with that Heavenly Fire... and in the blurb for the Dark Artifices, it says "Emma Carstairs, the greatest Shadowhunter SINCE JACE WAYLAND." That book is in 2012, and it's like 2006 in City of Lost Souls (If not, sorry...Tis been awhile since I've re-read) But since Jace is like 17 or 18 then, he'd only be like 25 ish. That is WAY too early for a Shadowhunter to retire. So... What happens to Jace?! :0 Hopefully not something like poor Jem D: I wouldn't be able to deal...

I am fretting it... I had a crazy thought, because it was 1 in the morning and I was worrying, but... Jem's obviously gonna turn human again in CoHF. ( read it from snippets. ) What of Jace takes his place as a Silent Brother because the Heavenly Fire was killing him? I doubt it, because Tessa survived... But Jace seemed so much worse than Tessa did! Or maybe Jem told everyone to calm down, cause the same thing happened to Tessa and she lived, but maybe something happens to Jace and he has to retire early? Like, maybe the heavenly fire stops him from ever walking again? Or maybe 'Since Jace Wayland' simply means that she's the best Shadowhunter at her age since Jace? Ugh! The anticipation!

Today seems a good day to reveal the placeholder cover for City of Heavenly Fire! This is not the final cover, but since you’ll be seeing it all over, on amazon etc. until they reveal the final, might as well see it here first. I did not come up with the tagline, but I like it.
The final cover will of course not have words on it, but people. I cannot tell you which people. You will have to wait for the reveal. There is also an extra surprise printed on the inside cover! *dances*

So I'm currently reading City of Ashes, and it's so boring. I loved the first one, but City of Ashes is terrible in comparison. I'm thinking about quitting the series. Does the series get better? Would it be worth it for me to continue reading?

YES the series gets better! City of Ashes starts out really slow but the second half is amazing. So much happens... City of Glass (the subsequent book) is the best in the series.

There are two arcs to this series.

The first arc: City of Bones, City of Ashes, and City of Glass.

The second arc: City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, and yet to come out, the final book which is bound to be epic, City of Heavenly Fire.

But I'm more of a Clace fan and I've heard that Jace and Clary become really unlikable as characters. Is this true?

I promise that you'll love the series!! You're sister is VERY stubborn and I got her to read it again. You just have to brave through CoA. The second half is good! Jace stays the same snarky hot mess. Clary just makes a lot of rash decisions... The problem is that everyone compares Clary to Tessa (Main character of The Infernal Devices which is also by Clare) and Jace to Will (from TID). When you compare them, you pick who you like better and then you put down the other character. That's what happened. People don't like Clary as much as Tessa Gray so therefore they don't like Clary (when really they do, just less compared to Tessa). Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense. However, I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll continue reading this series. Honestly, I just don't have the time to get obsessed with a series.
