Chelle𓆏 | 136 comments Wow this looks like so much fun! It's just that I'm starting late but I still want to participate! I'm up for the challenge.

M- Medea by Euripides (Classic) -DONE
I- It by Stephen King (Thriller, Classic)
C- The Color Purple by Alice Walker (Classic, Historical Fiction) -DONE (sorry about the "the")
H- Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (Paranormal) -DONE
E- East Of Eden by John Steinbeck (Classic, Historical Fiction)
L- Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis (Classic) -DONE
L- The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg (Chick-Lit) -DONE (sorry about the "the")
E

I'm for sure not going to finish in time.

UPDATE: I'm going to try and stay away from the "the". I get excited when I see a potential book but then later on I realize there is a "the" in front of the title.

UPDATE: If I still have enough time before the deadline I will try to replace The Lonely Hearts Club and The Color Purple with books that don't start with "the".

Chelle𓆏 | 136 comments I'm currently reading Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis. I have two l's in my name. I was wondering if this book could count. Maybe as a classic? If it can't then that's okay, I'm still going to continue reading it.

Chelle𓆏 | 136 comments I would be so disappointed but I finished reading The Lonely Hearts Club thinking that it could count for chick-lit. Once I finished it I thought about the rules, so is it true that I can't count this book? It was a good book but I only read it for this challenge. It starts with the word The but I used to be a librarian and when we put away books we don't cound the 'the' so the book would be listed under 'L'. I don't want to change any rules but I would be bummed if I couldn't count this one. I also realize that I am reading The Color Purple to fulfill my 'c'. I'm sucking at this challenge. The 'the' is, like, invisible to me.

I checked out its genres in GR itself, and chick-lit isn't one of them.
