Read Your Name Challenge!!

I saw this challenge in another group, thought it looked interesting and fun, so I set this up as a challenge in our group too.

In this challenge, each person has to read a book starting with a letter from his/her name.

For example, I will read books starting with R, U, C, H and I.

Rules :

1) There are specific genres for this challenge. Only books from these genres will be considered. The genres are -

a) Classics
b) Chick-lit
c) Historical fiction
d) Paranormal
e) Thriller
f) Autobiography

2) The challenge starts from August 1st, so all those who've already read some book which could be proper for this challenge, have to read another book. There is a time limit. The end date is 31st December, 2013. So, I give you enough time to read even 10 books if your name has 10 characters :)

3) You can read the books in any order. It isn't necessary to read the books in the same order as the characters in your name are. You can read in any order, just remember to complete each letter of your name.

4) Words like The, A, Of and all such stuff isn't counted. The first character of the real name of the book, excluding The, A...whatever, is the actual name.

5) (Okay, this is a silly point, but -) only first name, not last name.



Those who are interested , please post here whether you'll be taking part in the challenge or not. As and when, you start or complete a book, you can keep on updating in this discussion.

ok....par ye challenge 1st august se start ho rahi hain...aur sirf apne naam mein jo letters hain, unhi se starting koi book padna hain..

There must be a lot of books.....but stick to the genres mentioned...If I find something, I'll surely inform you.

(what I mean is I have only one C in my name, but does it count if I read 2 or 3 boks starting by C?)

Of course you can read more than one book starting from a letter.....the minimum is 1. And there's loads of time, so you can read more than one book by the same letter :)

Oh I understand now. I thought I had to find a book with my name in it and the only one I have found, if I use my full name, is the bible.

I shall give this challenge a go using my full name.

Just write the letters of your name and as and when you finish each book, just edit that comment and write the names of the books.
