message 20: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Struggling on this one, everything I write sounds too cliche.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments I'm letting this one ferment a bit, and nothing has bubbled to the surface yet...

message 22: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Me too, Rosemary. I think I need to stir the flurp around a bit!

Inuendo!

message 24: by Nicola (new)

Nicola Palmer | 255 comments Flurp?! No idea what that is, but now I wish the challenge was to include the word 'flurp'.

message 25: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments It's like slutch, or slopdosh. Muddy, gooey stuff you get in the bottom of things.
I speak another language, don't I? ;)

message 26: by Nicola (new)

Nicola Palmer | 255 comments I'd like a dictionary of this new language! So far all the words appeal to me :)

For anyone still stirring the flurp, slutch or slopdosh, would it help if I said the quote in the title came from a children's book?

Probably not ;)

message 27: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments I'm resisting the urge to write a lecture on how the word 'unique' is so often misused, e.g. 'It's very unique!'

No! It's either unique or it isn't!

message 28: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments It's as impossible to grade as pregnancy. You are, or you aren't! Sorry, just jumping on Jonathan's bandwagon here. Shove over chuck!

I'm sure the title could be incorporated as the start of an argument! Nothing wrong with a lecture!

message 30: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hill | 1599 comments Hmmm, might consider that! If I win, I'll give you 20p from my prize. ;)

message 31: by Nicola (new)

Nicola Palmer | 255 comments Thank you. I would spend it on a freeze pop. Or put it towards some more insect repellant! Some very hungry gnats here :(
