SOLVED. Novel about some sort of ancient powerful staff thing? Nazis, neo-Nazis. [s]

I honestly can't remember the title, author, or even what the cover of the book looked like, and all I remember are spoilers.

Basically the book starts out in a supermarket and the protagonist is a young women who realizes she's being watched by this guy, and he saves her when she's about to enter her car which turns out to be rigged with a bomb. They go on the run with him protecting her, and they seemingly get chased and shot at on the road during their journey. I don't remember the middle of the book but basically at the end it turns out that the protagonist had some sort of ability that this secret cabal of neo nazis needed to access this staff which basically gives you god mode powers like possession and stuff, and the guy who was following the protagonist was faking all the attempts on her life. There's also a subplot about another important guy who is the secondary protagonist and his sort of romance with this monk/religious girl who later turned out to be possessed by one of the neo nazis wielding the staff power. At the end I forgot how but that second protagonist set off a large explosion that killed all the neo nazis or something??? I don't remember if it was time travel, flashbacks, or Point-of-View switches that the author used to transfer between the viewpoints of the protagonists. It was a pretty messed up book so any help would be appreciated.

I know this thread is abandoned, but I know what book this is! It's Blood of the Reich, by William Dietrich. I read this a few months ago and it's exactly like Jk described. :)

Confirmed that chapter 2 begins in this way in the present day (chapter 1 begins in Nazi Germany). Moving to Solved.
