SOLVED. Children's Book Series about little girls with princess names but they are NOT princess [s]

This is a series of books I read when I had grown out of the Disney princess phase but still loved princesses. It was a bunch of girls, all friends, who lived regular lives like the rest of us, going to school, having bake sales, doing math homework, etc.

They had princess names. I believe one was Ellie? It reminded me of the Boxcar children series, or the Babysitter's club series. Pretty much a typical solving real-life problems kind of book series.

I remember there being one book in the series about a bake sale gone wrong or something. It's been a long time and I've been looking for this series since the late 2000's. I was 10 in 2002, so I probably read it around then.

What do you mean by princess names? Do you mean they were all named after a famous princess?

I mean that they have Disney princess names. I'm pretty sure the girl based on Cinderella has a stepmom that she doesn't always get along with, and the girl based on Jasmine is black?
