Yeah, Adam is very aware of his lack of privilege and I think he lets that get in the way.
In regards to Declan, I think Adam (or is it Gansey?) says that he knows that Declan has been watching them. So I'm not sure what that was about, but the girlfriend did seem awfully interest in what they were discussing?? Maybe we'll find out :D

Read the first two chapters last night. Not sure how I feel so far.

I almost done with the book I'm reading then I'll start Raven Boys after breakfast and a shower.

Through chapter 7 now. I'm liking it better. The characters are interesting. But I'm not sure this will be a fast read for me at all. The prose is pretty dense, with lots of (potentially unnecessary?) similes.

Through chapter 15 (view spoiler)[I'm glad Blue and the boys finally met. I'm not really getting a FEEL for who the characters are. Like, they tell us lots of stuff, and sometimes their dialogue is indicative. But when I'm in their heads, I don't feel like Gansey inside is either of the Ganseys that everyone else describes. I don't really feel any sense of character. And Adam's not much better. And Ronan's just kind of there. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, at the end of a chapter I recently passed, Gansey was thinking, "It's starting!" And I was kind of like, "Why is the book only starting 57% in??"
