Camy Tang/Camille Elliot discussion
What are you reading this week?

Camy wrote: "OH MY GOSH!!! I hope you're feeling better now! I will definitely remember that because sometimes my contact gets a little stuck to my eye. I hope you enjoy Formula for Danger!!!! I'm so honored that it's your first book to read after your "cyclops" period! :)"
The ophthalmologist/eye surgeon told me it is caused by dry eye caused by wearing it too long, getting chlorine (or other substance) in your eye, or so forth. He told me if it gets stuck to use rewetting drops or saline solution to moisten it. Always slide it left or right off the curvature of your eye where you can pinch it off. Losing my cornea and eyesight from something so stupid, extremely humbled me to the Lord and that I belonged to him and to accept his will and to know that he would take care of me no matter what ended up happening to my eyesight. That is why the message you wrote to me that came in the mail was so relevant.
Thanks for everything I'll tell you how I liked

I can't wait to have time to start it! Probably when I'm done with my current manuscript.

Yay! I hope you enjoy my books! Single Sashimi and Narrow Escape are two completely different genres.

That sounds good!

WOW that looks so good! I put it on my Nook wish list.

Oooh! Thanks! I'm heading there now! I love John Stott. His Sermons on the Mount Bible study book is one of my favorites.

I just downloaded it. I had forgotten about ChristianAudio.com and their free monthly downloads. I've bookmarked it so I'll be sure to check each month. Thanks!

I have Strand of Deception by Robin Caroll waiting at the library, and am #1 on the list for Rescue Team by Candace Calvert and Doomed Queens as well. Hopefully I can get and read those before we go on a short trip starting the 15th. I do not want to have to take them with me; would prefer my e-reader then.

Turansky, Carrie. I am also reading Single Sashimi by Camy Tang.
Camy - I really like Venus. She is sooo strong. Great book so far!

I prefer my e-reader when I travel, too! I used to pack at least 10 books with me whenever I traveled just so I would have a selection to choose from when I finished a book! Now I just have my ereader. I loooooooove it!

I think you'll love them!

I am now reading Threat of Darkness by Valerie Hansen.

I admit I just took time out to read The Enchanted Barn again last night (I got the ebook version by Unforgotten Classics and it was nice to read it free of typos). I love that book!!!!! I'm not even sure why I love it so much!!!!!

Jerry Jenkins could make drying paint exciting. Which is a good thing in this case because the excitement doesn't kick in until halfway through. It's a very interesting concept though. Two parallel stories, set 2,000 years apart, that converge to give God the glory. :-)

The heroine in my WIP isn't a Christian but she's read the Bible cover to cover. She's used to the people in her life breaking promises. So it's hard for her to trust that God is a promise keeper. I'm hoping RC Sproul's book will give me some wisdom to share with Auburey on her journey. :-)
Heather wrote: "I sheepishly admit that I have never read anything by Grace Livinston Hill. I know I totally should! Our library has a ton of them including the no time limit paperbacks so I don't have an excuse.

ROFL!!! Too funny about Jerry Jenkins!!!
I think you might be pleasantly surprised by reading a Grace Livingston Hill book! Start with The Enchanted Barn--it's free and it's a really good book.
Enchanted Barn on GoogleBooks
The thing to keep in mind is that it's actually a historical novel--it was written in 1917 or so, and the setting and culture are more similar to reading a historical novel, so take some things with a nod toward the time period.

I've read all but one of her books, still have to read the Irish Brides series. This book is 7th in her Charity House series. Excellent series.

WOW What Alice Forgot looks really good! I put it on my wishlist."
Camy, it is very good! I'm about half way through. It could be really cute-sy, but it's not at all.

It's a great story concept. It sort of reminds me of the movie 13 Going on 30 where she suddenly ages to 30 and realizes what a terrible person she's become.
