Tria (trialia) | 30 comments This book doesn't appear to be listed in the GR database - at least, not under that title, which is the title of the copy I owned at one time.

It's a pulp romance/erotica with lesbian and hetero sex in it (this is Sappho after all) and it's not entirely fictional - it's a little bit like what's known in fandom as "real person fiction". Lots of sex but that isn't solely what it is, hence my calling it a romance-slash-erotica novel. It's quite short - I think under 200 pages.

The edition I owned had a terracotta-red cover with a lighter, but strongly-coloured illustration for the cover. And it ISN'T either of the books listed in the GR database as being by Margaret Goldsmith or Alexander Trocchi.

I would love to have help finding the author's name for this book, please, as I'm pretty certain that's the only way I'll ever get another copy for myself! Many thanks.

Edit: Please also note that this book was published sometime between 1950 and 1985 - not sure exactly when, but sometime there (it would have been illegal here before '50, and I remember it was older than I am, and I was born in early '86).

Thanks again!

Darcy (drokka) | 211 comments I don't know if this is your book, but it appears to be a fiction and is relatively recent Sappho's Leap

Tria (trialia) | 30 comments No, that's definitely not it. Thanks, though. I have a vague feeling it might have been by a male author, but that's not a certainty. But it's older than I am - I should have specified that! I'll edit it into the initial post. The book's twentieth century, but at least 25-30 years old (I'm 27, and my old copy belonged to my mother originally).

Darcy (drokka) | 211 comments Right, well I'll try this again. Is it this one by Jefferson Cooper?

Tria (trialia) | 30 comments The cover's not the same, but the name sounds very familiar. I think it well may be! Thanks, Darcy!

This got added to the database and I added the edition with a red cover, which seems to possibly match the OP's description.
