I'm trying to find a book I wanted to purchase maybe a year or so ago and I can't remember the title. It was about zombies and either on the cover or first couple pages I read a first person point of view of a zombie who might have been a new zombie, describing how good it felt to drag, I think, their leg across the ground scratching it as they walked. They might of been surprised or embarrassed at that feeling. I can remember looking at the book, I think it was mostly black and bright blue. I feel like the title could of had something like dark or moon in it. I was looking at Barnes and Noble and I remember looking in the last few isles of fiction which means the authors name must begin at least past the 2nd half of the alphabet.

I didn't finish reading it, I seem to recall something similar early in Pay Me in Flesh. I think the zombie may have been talking about the need to eat human flesh, though (and there's a sentence I never anticipated typing).

My Life as a White Trash Zombie possibly? (Ok, I just loved the title, sorry) There seems to be an entire series, so it could even be one of the others. . .

I found it!!! Decided for the 3rd time to go back to the store and search the shelves. To my delightful surprise, it was the 5th book I picked up during my search. And the winner is Dust, by Joan Frances Turner. I was right on with the black and blue cover and it is a new zombie. I've read the first few pages like I normally do when I get a book, didn't find the leg dragging part but good enough for me! Thanks for the help!
