Character 2: Madison (#3 popular name in Utah in 2000)

Elymary, Damary, Yomari, Elsamary. I will go for Elismary for the Puertorican and Emely for the second character. Good luck!!
Thanks, Everyone! Just to let you know, I'm going to make a decision on Friday, so if there's anybody else with ideas, don't be afraid to share!
Thanks for your great ideas, Everybody! You were all very helpful. I'm going to go with Elena for Character #1 and Madison for Character #2. So Maurine, Jodi, and Janae are the winners. I'll get your books to you as soon as I have your addresses. Thanks again!
Janae, I still have your book sitting here, but I don't have your address. You can send it to my email if you want: tolmanterry [at] gmail.com

Hi Maurine and Elena! I'm so glad you both liked it! I'm having a lot of fun with Book 2. Elena, I'm sure that you're adorable and kind and responsible and just a little bit fragile from time to time (but hardly ever, really), so that's how Elena is going to be in the book. Would you like to be a beta reader and give me feedback before it's officially published?
I'm working on Book 2 in the Sister WhoDat series, and I'm having a little trouble coming up with a couple of character names. I thought maybe I could tap into your creative and insightful minds and see if you have any ideas. Send me your ideas, and I'll give a signed copy of Sister WhoDat, NY Agent (Book 1) to the person or people who end up naming the characters. If the same brilliant person names both characters, I'll send just one copy, but I'll throw in something else for your brilliantness, like maybe an autographed picture of my daughter's 4H chickens (they're smart chickens).
Here are the characters.
Character #1: Sixteen-year-old only daughter of a Puerto Rican single mother. She's hard-working, sweet, and worldly wise. She never seems jealous of other people's money or good looks, but she does get jealous of other kids' fathers. She doesn't remember her father at all and pines away for him, building him up in her mind to be a handsome hero who made an unwitting mistake in leaving his family. She was born and raised just south of Harlem in NYC and is now a junior in high school.
Character #2: Seventeen-year-old daughter of a successful marketing executive father and a very kind but overstressed mother. Her parents are originally from Utah, but this daughter has lived in five different states and has just had to move from San Diego to NYC right before her senior year of high school. She's the second of six children. Although she's very pretty and talented, she has a hard time making friends and is very unhappy about this move. In fact, she's trying to figure out how to graduate early so she can go back to San Diego.
So there you have it. Please submit your awesome name ideas. You're the best!
Yours Truly,
Rachel Tolman Terry
