Trisha My Partner is Jenna:
(edited 7/7)

1st book: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling - because it's a GREAT series and a nice fun book to start with!

2nd book: I'm Not Her by Janet Gurtler - because I just finished it and loved it. And it's a heavier book than book 1 and might be a nice transition

3rd book: Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green - because I loved it and it might be a nice funny read after book 2!

4th book: Mind Games (Mind Games, #1) by Kiersten White - because I think it sounds really good. I've been meaning to read it so I hope you like it and I think the change of pace in story might be nice after the 3rd book :)

5th book - If I Stay (If I Stay #1) by Gayle Forman - a pretty heavy themed book but I loved it and hope you do too

6th book - Crossing the Line (Pushing the Limits, #1.5) by Katie McGarry - I loved this one. a nice and short one after the tough 5th book theme

7th book - Everblue (Mer Tales, #1) by Brenda Pandos - I liked it and it's a switch to fantasy with the mermaid theme

8th book - The Edge of Never (The Edge of Never, #1) by J.A. Redmerski - a little new adult to shake up the mix. I didn't love it, but I know many other people who did!

9th book - Fire (Graceling Realm, #2) by Kristin Cashore - because the cover is pretty and I've heard good things about book 1 so I hope book 2 is good too! (plus, it's fantasy so if you are doing the other challenge, it might help there too! lol!)

10th book - Something Like Normal by Trish Doller - because I wanted to let you finish with a bang. I LOOOOVED this book. Loved it loved it! So I hope you do too!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
and optional switch out:
11th book - Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen - Sarah Dessen is always a good 'go to' story!
Enjoy Jenna!!
You have to read the books in order/sequentially. You can read two books at one time only if you are trying to accommodate a buddy read.
For example. You have a buddy read for book one set up on July 1st and a buddy read set up for book tWo on July 3rd. You can start your second buddy read, even if you haven't finished the first.
Jenn edited -- 7/7
My Partner is Trisha. Also, Trisha, sorry this took a few moments. I was only familiar with a few of the books, so I had to look up a lot of them. Anyway, here is the list! Hope you enjoy:
1.
The Hallowed Ones -- I like Amish fiction a lot, but this one seems to have an intriguing "undead" twist.
2.
Eat, Brains, Love -- Should be an easy, quick read. Still focusing on the undead, but with more laughs.
3.
Identity Theft -- This sounds creepy and it appears to be one of those 'page-turner' books.
4.
Pretty Dead -- Mixed reviews on this one, so I put it in the middle.
5.
Insomnia -- Another thriller. It looks really intense and good push for the rest of the list.
6.
A Really Awesome Mess -- Bouncing off of "food" -- I thought this would be a nice change from the paranormal books. I'm adding to my TBR list too.
7.
The Program -- Possibly very emotional.
8.
Unfed -- You enjoyed the first one. And I thought you might enjoy a lighter book after all of those.
9.
The Charge -- Possible kings and missing brother...this book looks amazing.
10.
Wild Awake -- I have seen this book all over goodreads and the blogosphere, and I've heard good things.
Additional Book 11 --
Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer -- Set in Paris.
Harley, read The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson - I love this series. It's great fantasy..full of action, a lot of character development, and the second book was great too.
4. Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2) by Tahereh Mafi I picked this because because it is the second in a series and it is like a companion to Destroy Me.
5. The Different Girl by Gordon Dahlquist This was the most interesting cover to me, sounds like a good book kind of like the Maze Runner.
2. Archetypes Who Are You? by Caroline Myss - this seems very interesting
3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling - great series
4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling - follow book 2 with book 3
5. The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins - different from Harry Potter but still great
6. Birdsong A Novel of Love and War by Sebastian Faulks - I have heard some great things about this
7. Bitterblue (Graceling Realm, #3) by Kristin Cashore - last one in the series
8. The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman - sounds great
9. Sarah's Quilt (Sarah Agnes Prine, #2) by Nancy E. Turner - the second book in the series
10. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald - a classic
11 (switch out) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling
Hope you enjoy them!!
message 247: by [deleted user] (new)
My partner is Lindsey, and I chose for her to read:
1. Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer - because I love classic stories being twisted around in unimaginable ways.
2. Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer - If the story goes on, then reader must go on! (Which is completely unlike me, since I hardly ever pick up a sequel).
3. Remember Me (Remember Me, #1) by Christopher Pike -I used to devour his Thirst books in middle school, and I want to see if I should be picking these ones up to.
4. Elixir (Elixir, #1) by Hilary Duff - I love strange beautiful men coming into an unlucky heroine's life, why not? Plus, my cousin got this signed by Hilary Duff; and I wanna see how Lizzie Maguire has transitioned herself into a mystery writer.
5. The Eternal Ones (Eternal Ones, #1) by Kirsten Miller -Really excited for this one, it has cute boys, reincarnation, and murder, set in New York. Thats a winning deal there, Lindsey.
6. Angel Evolution (The Evolution Trilogy, #1) by David Estes - I'm just happy that this is set in college, and the main character isn't some high school girl. And I feel that is enough. (;
7. Demon Evolution (The Evolution Trilogy, #2) by David Estes - I'm suspecting some twists, sensing from the titles. So yes, more (fallen?) angel boyfriends :D
8. The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater -Her first series was terrific, so what could possibly go wrong with Maggie Stiefvater's newest creation? I remember wanting to read this as well so, I'm looking forward to your review, Lindsey.
9. Partials (Partials, #1) by Dan Wells -Part 1 of the Finale! Who doesn't love a good (seeing from the reviews) post-apocalyptic/Dystopian series?
10. Fragments (Partials, #2) by Dan Wells - The next in the series! The battle for survival never truly ends anyway. So yes! That's it!
Substitute(s): Isolation (Partials Sequence #0.5) by Dan Wells (You can choose to read this one either before you read Partials, since it is an explanation, or you could choose not to, because I have plan B....)
Plan B!:
Hopeless (Hopeless, #1) by Colleen Hoover - a contemporary romance, to give you those certain butterflies. Plus, aren't we all a bit hopeless? (I sure know I am), so, as I repeatedly say, why not?
