Ender’s Game
question
Has anyone found a book similar to Ender's Game?

I can't seem to find anything like Ender's Game, besides Orson Scott Card's books.

That is why it is such a classic, I havnt run into anything like it.
Do you want a book like Ender's Game or a book with a protagonist like Ender?
I like books like this one for two reason's: 1 there is a twist at the end that you didn't see coming (at least I didn't) and 2 the main character is clever, bright and lovable.
A book that I love, but is a totally different genre than Ender's Game but has the two points mentioned above is The Thief.
It's hard to find a book as good as Ender's Game. But you could try The Thief.
Or you could try Pathfinder. Rigg reminds me a lot of Ender, but it was written by Card so that's not surprising.

I recommend a book called "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline. It was recommended to me by a friend that also loved "Ender's Game" and it was a book that I simply could not put down. It was amazing.
Have you read the rest of the Ender series, or the alternate view of the books in the Shadow series about Bean's point of view or any of the many other books Card has written which are accessible?
Hi I know this is an old discussion but I had a recommendation for you. I also agree that there is nothing quite like Ender's Game, which is why I enjoy reading it over and over. I read it at least once every two years and it still takes me by surprise.
I would recommend Otherland by Tad Williams. I first tried to read it in 6th grade (year 2000...), and I enjoyed it but it was ~800 pages which is a lot for a 6th grader, I wanted the various characters to come together faster (in some ways the first book is a build up and ramps up more toward the end).
However, I'm reading it again right now, as an adult, and absolutely loving it. In some small ways it reminds me of Ender's Game, because it is about virtual reality and technology. I am seriously on the edge of my seat and really digging it this time around.
I'm pretty sure I'll end up reading the entire series this time.
I recommend it and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Inda by Sherwood Smith is a military fantasy about a boy with a similar personality and life as Ender. Smith made an amazing world with great, complex characters. The book has a lot of the same military tactics as EG. I almost love it as much as Ender's Game. :)
The Champion of Clarendon Ditch Trilogy isn't necessarily like Ender's Game, but the hero, Adam Darvin, is Ender-like. The author said Ender's Game was a huge influence. The ChampionThe AllianceThe Hatching
I just started a book entitled Triorion: Awakening (Triorian: The Series)by L.J. Hachmeister which, while not that similar to Enders Game, has the same general feel - the three primary characters start out as five year old children who have varying degrees of psionic ability. Its a fair story so far. I'm about 40% finished and it can still go either way.
Card once alluded to the fact that the Harry Potter books could be considered very similar to Ender's Game. An elite school where very talented children learn the art of battle...
I loved the Vorkosigan saga by Lois McMaster Bujold. Ender's game is the only book I found similar to it.
The second half of The 5th Wave - with the military training of children - made me think of Enders Game a little.
I recently read a fantastic book called Ascent which shares many elements with Ender's Game. Ascent is set during the cold war rather than the future but like Ender's Game it begins with the protagonist at a young age and follows him through his rise from a fighter pilot to a cosmonaut. Excellent book; if you liked Ender's Game I'm sure you'll like Ascent.
In the broadest brush strokes, you'd have to compare it only in a general way. Ultra-talented but tormented at home young boy goes to school and becomes the best of the best of the institution. That describes both Ender Wiggin and Harry Potter. I thought the tolerance for genocide in the book was startling, especially when it was originally written just a couple of years after the end of the Vietnam War.
Try The Giver or The Chocolate War. Neither of these has the science fiction feel of "Ender's Game," but they are both outstanding YA novels with memorable and realistic protagonists.
Have you read Songmaster by Card? It is a bit similar to Enders Game, it is just so well written, and if you like his style of writing you will really enjoy this book. Songmaster is the book that introduced me to Orson Scott Card, there is just something about it...truly loved it!
The Roar by Emma Clayton is EXTRAORDINARILY similar to Ender's Game. From the synopsis, it might not seem like it is - but it is definitely worth reading if you're a fan! :D
I've read an article about this book (because its now going to be a movie adaptation) and they say that this is similar to Fondation Series by Isaac Asimov and Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

I've read the entire Asimov Foundation and Robot series twice and Enders Game. I can honestly say there may be a few very vague similarities but overa

I can't think of any. The closest might be some of Robert Heinlein's YA books.
