If you do not mind YA
here is the description:For seventeen years, Eloise Hart had no idea the world of Faery even existed. Now she has been abducted and trapped in the Rath of Lord Strahan, King of Faery. Strahan was only meant to rule for seven years, as Faery tradition dictates, and then give up his crown to another. But he won't comply, and now chaos threatens both worlds.
The only one who can break his stranglehold on the Faery court is his wife. . . Eloise's aunt Antonia. Using Eloise to lure Antonia, Strahan captures his wife, desperate to end the only threat to his reign. Now Eloise must become the rescuer. Together with her best friends Jo and Devin, she must forge alliances with other Fae, including a gorgeous protector named Lucas, and Strahan's mysterious son, Eldric-who may or may not betray them.
I loved Fated. TOTALLY rocks. I would like to nominate: Carousel Tides
It was written years ago, but would easily be classified as UF today (was probably originally classified as fantasy back then because I don't think they had a UF category.)
Although I'm not crazy about the 'steampunk' setting of this book, the story is quite good. I'll recommend
by J.C. Daniels I didn't feel it was PNR when I read it. Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades—has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.
So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters—especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.
Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she’s gotten in over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she fails—she’s dead.
If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…

I loved the story. It's a very good cross between PNR and UF. I think some would think it too PNR, but it has a very good mystery running through it and isn't over-sexed. I think it counts as UF even if it leans a bit into the romance side.
I too would really like to read Fated. I have not read it before and I think it would be a good excuse to do so. Maria wrote: "I loved Fated. TOTALLY rocks.

So I am kind of new to goodreads. What is a buddy read? Is it just reading it together with people? Because you should totally count me in. :)

Buddy reads are anything from two people to "whoever joins in."

Yep - excellent! And I agree with you, a UF with Romantic Elements, but still a UF.
Madness of Angels by Kate Griffin. Enter a London where magicians ride the Last Train, implore favours of The Beggar King and interpret the insane wisdom of The Bag Lady. Enter a London where beings of power soar with the pigeons and scrabble with the rats, and seek insight in the half-whispered madness of the blue electric angels. Enter the London of Matthew Swift, where rival sorcerers, hidden in plain sight, do battle for the very soul of the city . . . Don't know if its still on, but it was on a deal with Kindle for 99p the other day, as the next book in the series spinnoff is out next week or so.

Super unique premise and a very likeable protagonist."
Strangely, I just finished
Graveyard Shift which has a similar premise. There was another book I read last year along the same lines, but I can't remember the name of it.
Q7XR2 wrote: "What? Oh man. Well, its still super awesome at least!"I think the other book I was thinking of was The Dirty Streets of Heaven
I'm kind of new to UF and am looking forward to reading with you whatever book gets chosen. I'd like to nominate
.

"My absolute favourite urban fantasy series. My favourite series in general.
I recently re-read this one, so I´ll nominate book two
I like The House of Night series by P.C. Cast :)Also if you like zombies, Gena Showalter spins a different take on your average zombie in Alice in Zombieland. I don't care for zombies all that much, but I really loved this book. She has the 2nd one in the series scheduled to release in September 2013 titled: Through the Zombie Glass. Happy Reading!! :)
If im not too late i think
