Let’s play Name that Zombie (Book or Movie) Demons or Ancient Evil

Hello My Fellow Zombie Freaks. The conversation of "how" the zombie apocalypse happened has come up more then once in our group. I got to thinking, Just how many ways a zombie can be made. Zombie virus, Voodoo, Witchcraft, Alien infestation, Radioactive.. are there any other ways?
So maybe in this thread we can gather up some titles ? I imagine this list will be long so I am going to start a thread for each of the ways that I know. If you have a different way, feel free to make a thread.
The point here is to gather up some names of books and movies of each method.

This might be a bit of a spoiler but the title Swarmers by R.V. Doon goes under ancient evils and possibly re-evolution.

Not really sure where one of my favorite movies ever fits. Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things was the story of some corpses coming back for revenge after their graves are defiled by some 70's hipster movie makers. Maybe it's more sorcery/voodoo.

Ian, I love the title "children shouldn't play with death things". Sounds like solid advice!
It does not have to be your favorite title, just list any zombie book or movie that fits this "how".
I would like to start up a listopia here on goodreads if I can get enough books for each type of zombie.

The Rising (Brian Keene) and it's sequel fall under this category.

Keene's stories have all been good, if not a little too dark for my personal taste. But if you like hopeless no-win scenarios with plenty of rather gruesome gory scenes I'd recommend most of his novels.
