It's time to consider how your reading so far has contributed to your reading goals for the year.
Remember you were asked to read more widely, so what have you been reading? and how does this fit into your challenge? If you are far from your goal, why? And what can you change to meet that? Is it achievable? If you are close to achieving that goal you could expand it to add a greater depth of challenge. Mrs Johnstone and I are happy to help.

Mukund Boni | 3 comments I feel that I have reached my goal regarding my quantity of reading. However, I have not been able to spread my reading out, I have mainly stuck to fantasy and fiction in general. I will now attempt to read some non fiction books or even some thrillers and mysteries, such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Michael Jaworski | 2 comments I didn't set myself any reading goals in semester one. However, I am satisfied with my progress in reading. I have been frequently reading The Age and have read numerous novels.

Dominic Nguyen | 21 comments Although the bulk of my reading goal was to continue to read from Shakespeare, my goal has shifted to reading a variety of classical books from different authors. Moreover, another goal of mine was to read 20 books. However, so far, I have only read 6 (including "The Catcher in the Rye"). This is because I have changed my mindset when I read, from quantity to quality. Rather than finishing a book and then immediately moving on to another like I have done in the past, I've started to take time to analyse the book thoroughly, from researching the author's past to see what had influenced him/her to write the book, and the context in which it was written in (historical setting for example). I believe that this will help me to understand fully, and thus, make the book more enjoyable.

Yomitha Navaratne | 5 comments I can't find my reading goal that I posted earlier but I had it written down in my book. My goal was to consistently read more books especially with the busy schedule that I have. Overall, I have struggled to find the time to read the books and I really only have read 4 books for the past two months. So in terms of my "Action Plan" for the future, I plan to commit to a goal of reading a book every two weeks regardless of whether I finish it or not. This will hopefully boost my reading rate and add to my library. So watch out!

Thanks for your reflections, must admit that my goal was to write a short review and include my opinion of books straight after I'd finished them, but alas!
So its good to have the goals there even if we don't fully achieve them.
If you're struggling with time issues you might like to try short story books. You can read a story in one sitting so no problems with continuity. I've just finished "Our story begins" by Tobias Wolff.
Check out my short review where I've recommended a few of my favourites that you might like to sample.

Gstar | 4 comments As with yomitha, I cannot find a hard copy of my reading goals. However, I am certain that I had reached my reading goal. My reading goal was to read a minimum of 10 books this year. These books include many classics such as "A Study In Scarlett" and another Agatha christie books. Other than that, I have also read the "opinion" section of newspapers such as Herald Sun. With VCE Chinese exam nearing, my progress with book reading with rapidly slow down as I have to commit more time for vce Chinese. Good reads is a very good program and I look forward to reading more books :)

Great to hear you find Goodreads worthwhile, Henry, and sounds like you're going well with your reading.
Do you also read Chinese language books?

ps. I'll investigate the name change. In the meantime, perhaps you can add your name at the end of each post so we all will know who you are.
