I have a daughter who is learning to read, and I wanted to see what books you guys recommend. She is a pro at the beginning BOB books, and am looking for that next step.

M.G. King (mgking) The Dog Shark Readers are great -- about the same level as BOB, but funnier.

Frog and Toad Are Friends stories are classic. And Cynthia Rylant has the very fun Mr. Putter & Tabby Pour the Tea series (is there anything she can't write??).

Thanks M.G., I will check those out. I also just ran into the Fly Guy series... those seem to be nice... and the gliterry covers just draw them in.

Christina (fiddler42) How about the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems? My youngest gets a big kick out of them!
