If I listen to an audiobook, how would I calculate the points?

Good question, Ashlyn. I think Jacquelyn always based it on the number of pages posted on Amazon, but I'm sure Hannah will have the official answer for you.I'm listening to an audio book too, but I only really listen in the car or if I'm doing dinner or something like that. So I might not even finish it before the end of the read-a-thon. LOL
Is anyone actually answering our questions on this thread? It looks like you have several on here that haven't been answered.
Vicki wrote: "I finished reading my movie book, which was about 3/4 of the entire book. I know I can't count points for it but that I can count pages. In my books read count, may I count that as "books read"?"Sure, if it's just for your tracking and not points, count it :)
Vicki wrote: "Another question also based on my book above that I read nearly 300 pages of today but had already read 125. May I use it for the BINGO game, or is it excluded since I'd already read some of it pri..."Since BINGO is for points, it's excluded from that challenge but you can still use it in your personal tracking thread, just not for anything that counts for points to the Read-a-thon
Vicki wrote: "ANOTHER question! LOL If I read a book (which I did) The Shattered Mountain I count it as a novella, correct? It's not actually a "sequel." I think that's how Jacquelyn had determin..."Yes, since it's a .6 and so short, it would be a novella
Ashlyn wrote: "I am listening to

but let me confer with the other mods and I'll get back to you later today :)
Ashlyn wrote: "Basically, the book only has one edition (audiobook), so it doesn't have any page numbers."Yes, I've checked average reading speed for audio books and about how many words are on an average novel page
I think I have a formula figured out but I'm checking my math by the other mods :)
I'll let you know soon!
Are graphic books such as
allowed? I'd like to read it for my ONE WORD TITLE for BINGO if I may. If not, I'll find something else. LOL
Vicki wrote: "Are graphic books such as

Novellas/Manga = 1 pt
in the point system
and since you can use Manga for points, you can use it for the Bingo challenge :)
Vicki wrote: "I finished reading my movie book, which was about 3/4 of the entire book. I know I can't count points for it but that I can count pages. In my books read count, may I count that as "books read"?"Yes! :)
Concerning audiobooks, you can count them as regular books! I consider audiobooks/physical books/ebooks the same. I'm not sure about the page count though...let me do I bit of math. :)
Vicki wrote: "Are graphic books such as

Sorry I didn't see your questions sooner! For some reason the questions feed was hidden. I'm here now if you have any more! :)

Okay, thank you.
Ashlyn, we've come up with point system for audio books. It will be posted in the point claiming thread. Sorry I didn't see your question sooner!
Another question, for Bingo, can I use a book that has more than two POV's for the 2 POV space, or can it only have two?
Ashlyn wrote: "Another question, for Bingo, can I use a book that has more than two POV's for the 2 POV space, or can it only have two?"I think that it's okay! I don't know why it wouldn't be. I'll ask Nix, but I'm pretty sure that she'll say yes. :)
For favorite genre in BINGO, can I classify YA as a genre? I will read pretty much any genre within YA (that's why I have such a huge TBR list, almost anything piques my interest) and I will switch periodically between different genres, so I don't really have a favorite 'genre'.
YA technically isn't a genre but since you seem to read any genre within it and you seem to like the majority of them, that'll work. :)
Alexa wrote: "Are we aloud to re-read books during the readathon? Wanted to read some of the Harry Potter books for it."Absolutely! :)
Linsey wrote: "How to you count the points for books that are third and beyond in a series?"I believe that they are still considered sequels so you count it as a sequel. :)
Linsey wrote: "How to you count the points for books that are third and beyond in a series?"They are counted as sequels. :)
So, I just finished Stupid Perfect World, which is a short novella, but it is not a prequel to anything. Do I still count it as a prequel since it's a novella? What do I count it as?
Jessica (Goldenfurpro) wrote: "So, I just finished Stupid Perfect World, which is a short novella, but it is not a prequel to anything. Do I still count it as a prequel since it's a novella? What do I count it as?"I would count it as a prequel/manga (worth 1 point). I'll talk to Jacq about editing it. :)
Alexa wrote: "I started a book right before the readathon and I was just wondering if the book would count if I started over from page one and finished it during the readathon. Thanks. :)"If you started over from the beginning, then I think that it would work! Count it! :)

For the square "Main Character that is not a student" in BINGO. Can I count a book in which there are multiple main characters, none of which are students?

Thanks!
Jacquelyn, I want to know if and how I should claim this book's points. I read
which is 32 pages and a children's picture book. It's told in poetic form. I absolutely LOVED it! I just don't know if it counts and if so, how?
Vicki wrote: "Jacquelyn, I want to know if and how I should claim this book's points. I read

Cindee wrote: "I have a question I have a book with 3 books in 1 do I count pages for each book separately."It's up to you. You can count it as one big book, or three separate books. Either way is fine by me. :)

Vicki wrote: "For something orange for the cover list, would
work since the cover itself is orange?"I'll count it because everything got posted so last minuet. lol It's good with me! :)
