Rebecca I work with small spaces and I have a lot of books to store. I was wondering if anyone had any nifty ideas for storing books? Right now I have a bookshelf (just one) that is literally creaking it is so full, i have a steamer trunk full of novels, a desk stacked high with them offering no room for work, and another tiny bookshelf that is overflowing. I only have one room to do all this in cuz I do not own my own place. Anyone have suggestions?

Rachel Have you stacked your books so that they're vertical (sitting on the spine across the shelves, perpendicular to the floor) or horizontal (sitting flat on the cover, stacked upward and parallel to the floor)? Depending on the space you're using, it could be more efficient to stack the books upwards rather than across the shelf/desk.

But, if you've already tried that and everything's crammed to the point that simply rearranging won't help, I've heard of people putting books in their closet. Or perhaps you could build a few extra little shelves on your wall and get book ends so they don't fall off. I'm sure you could find some for relatively low prices (but don't quote me on that because I truly have no idea how much those little wall-shelves cost; I'm just assuming they wouldn't cost very much lol).

That's all I can think of right now. :)
