There's a site, I think it's something like libravox.com where you can download audio books for free. I know they have adult classics on there, but they might have some YA, too. I haven't checked it out myself because I don't have any sort of ipod-like device, but I've heard raves about it on goodreads.

Librivox is great! Especially if you can find a reader whose voice you really like, who has good equipment for the sound quality, and who reads things you want to listen to. They only do books that are in the public domain, so only works published before 1923. The best part, though - FREE to download.

I just finished To Kill a Mockingbird for 20.2. I think all young people should read this book, it's just amazing. It's just wonderful story telling and even though I've read it before, I can't help but getting absorbed with the characters. I was surprised how differently I expirienced this book this time around as an adult.

I finished Laguna Covefor task 20.3. Oh my, this book totally reminds me of my high school days. I didn't grow up in Laguna, but I grew up in San Diego. And my friends and I were always at the beach after school. But I surprisingly found myself relating to the characters and their situations that they were going through...totally brought back my junior/senior year memories.

I have good news! My doctor visit on Friday revealed I do need to get glasses, but it wasn't caused from reading and the doctor said there was no problem with me continuing reading!!

I have contacts but I love wearing glasses. I choose them over contacts 90% of the time. You can get little funky ones! Think of them as an accessory and a way to express your personality. There are so many cute ones available these days!

I just finished it! I loved it and couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one.

Hoping someone can help me out... For task 25.1, I was originally going to use Hunger Games as action/adventure but did we decide it's more sci-fi? If so, I need to swap Evermore (sci-fi/fantasy) with something else. No big deal, though. Just confirming. Two books to go! :)

I think you could use Hunger Games for Dystopian, right? Is that a category on the boards?

Dystopian is shelved in the sci-fi folder. So, still leaves you in the same boat.


And Natalee, yeah. I really want to be done, and I want to read just whatever, but at the same time, it is cracking me up how many of my whatevers are still YA! Finished Little Women, two to go!
