Exercise is good for you.

I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and do just over an hour each time (a lot of cardio as am trying to lose weight so treadmill, rowing machine, the hand bike thingy, recliner bike and then have some weights too) On one of my trips a week I add a half hour swim too.
I am gonna try to start up going to Zumba again once a week as I really do find that a lot of fun.
Have to say I am loving the gym at the moment despite finding it tough going

I know I don't do enough although I do spend a lot of the day on my feet rushing around the lab and walk at least 10 minutes to and from my local metro stop.
I really do want to get fit though, I just lack the motivation to keep at it. It would help though, particularly with one of my jobs which is a mixture of sitting around for a while followed by some running, some walking, some carrying people, shifting people and bags around.

I also find as a writer that exercising allows me to relax and resolve plot issues.

I want to start going for runs again, I did it for a while when out in the country and quite enjoyed it. Mean to start up a new class as well cause I get free off peak membership at the sports village through Uni.

I used to swim most days but I got out of the habit due to hectic semester and am currently working on my shoulders so I can go back (I have a few issues with my muscles so I kinda have to work up to it)

I do find that people who take a lot of exercise often do themselves damage.
Be careful out there!

I then supplement that with a few weights sessions during the week.
Not really enough but it is all I have time for.

I have a Samsung Smart telly and there's an exercise channel on it that has some mini exercises that look interesting, but I'm still working on getting a range of movement back in my arm.
I did do belly dancing and am planning on starting that back up.
My problem is I don't like sweating.
And all the fit people in work seem to have colds and aches and are forever being ill, but me, I rarely get ill.

Now i'm working on getting movement back into my knee, and trying to find some classes to go to as my local ones closed!

Caught you just before I leave the house. Swapped it for some nice fruit.
Its good to see so many people enjoy (or at least do) some exercise.

At home, I have an aerobic hula hoop which I don't use often enough!

Damn. Foiled.
Actually, I do exercise. Ish. 20 minutes walk to the bus to school. 35-40 minutes walk from the bus home. Chase kids all day.
We'll be doing some trekking in Vietnam and hopefully a lot of swimming if the weather co-operates.

Probably.

I'm losing weight because I need to, and getting fit so that I can take part in something like a 10k run next year - as long as I can complete the course by walking!!!
Over the last few weeks there were three different walks/runs here all for cancer charities or the hospice and my nephew and I have said that we aim to do one of them next year to raise money in memory of my dad.

*Drools*

My little sister did a lot of sailing when she was a student and had impressive shoulder muscles :-)

I've sort of looked at buying a boat in Baku but they are stupid prices. So are slip fees.
I'll just need to make friends with someone who owns one. ;)

Try jogging past it and see if it helps."
On avoid it by taking the long way round

:D

My average exercise routine now looks something like the following:
Tae Kwon Do 2 or 3 times a week. Each session lasts between one and one and a half hours. Great cardio workout.
Jog 2 times a week. I generally don't have a specific aim. I was going to train for a marathon, but complications from a sprained ankle last year look to have put paid to that. I am running in the JCB Mud Run this coming Saturday though, as I love running in obstacle/mud races.
Gym 2 times a week. Mainly just use it for general keep fit and toning, using various weight machines and the stationary bikes and rowing machines.
Swim once every couple of weeks. I would like to go more, but it's hard when I work shifts, and I'm a rubbish swimmer.
So who else exercises, and if so, what do you do?
