The first book, Bad Games A Novel (Bad Games Series, #1) by Jeff Menapace , was really good. I'm 22% into this one, and it seems to follow suit.

Emma is this some kind of romance?

message 972: by Emma (new)

Emma | 96 comments Is war and peace any good? I know it's hard going but is it worth it? is something I have always wanted to read but I don't always like classics.

It's a dystopian romance, set in the future, it's about choosing a new princess for the prince, 36 girls are chosen from different areas and go and live with the royals until he chooses the one he wants to marry. Much better than it sounds :)

I think it's worth it. It hasn't been as hard to read as I thought it might either. It's just that I have so much other stuff to read.

This month has been a real anomaly in that I haven't been finishing books like I'm used to doing every single month. But I have read every bit as much, if not significantly more than usual. There is just so much different stuff vying for my attention right now.

message 975: by Emma (new)

Emma | 96 comments Ye that's the same with me, I have so much to read and so little time, I really cannot give up too much to one, as terrible as that sounds, I would like to read it sometime soon though.

message 976: by Natasa, co-moderator (new)

Natasa (natasa79) | 149 comments Mod
I am totally in the same position at the moment...promised some buddy reads, r2r, missed some group reads I really wanted to do, late on a challenge, oh my :) and all because I was reading extra stuff, If I was just doing what I was supposed to do I guess I would have made it...and then also the tourist season really started now so I have also less time then usual

I also always wanted to read War and Peace and I will...in the future. It sounds to me I wouldn't have the patience now for this book and there are too many books that I can't wait to start reading.

message 977: by Emma (new)

Emma | 96 comments I find that the hardest part, choosing which book to read, I wish I could read them all, at once. It's rare for me to find books I cannot put down, I am so glad to be reading one now :)
