This is a long list. I am ACTIVELY reading Flowers for Algernon, NOS4A2 and The Life and Times of Edgar Allan Poe as well as a very dry book called Business Information for school.

NOS4A2 was great!
NOS4A2 was great!
I finished The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I really enjoyed the story. Now I'm going to read Joyland.

How is that series so far Dustin? Song of Ice and Fire.

It is fantastic, and only gets better, more intense, and more insane with each installment! Thank you for asking!
George R R Martin is simply amazing. Loved Ice and Fire! Reading Currency of Souls by Kealan Patrick Burke (mind bending book) and Moon by James Herbert right now.

Awesome! I have been wondering about that one.

Reading, Infected Series Part Two Geralds War by S. Ganley, EMMA by Micheal Segedy... I tend to read the post apoc/zombie stories more... both are good
Listening to The Mysterious Howling while walking and Underground while doing housework, reading Gallows View and A Game of Thrones at home and have Red in the car to read while waiting to pick up kids, plus a couple of books in my beside table that I may get back to eventually!

Wow! And I thought I was bad trying to keep up with three books at a time. LOL

Cindy wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Listening to The Mysterious Howling while walking and Underground while doing housework, reading Gallows View and A Game of Thrones at home and have Red in the car to read while wait..."LOL. I'm not real good on impulse control when it comes to reading, if I get excited by something I want to read it NOW and so cause I can, I do :-) hence several books on the go.
I'm reading the Princess Bride because I grew up on the movie and wanted to read the book. It's interesting and goes in to more detail of the background stories of the characters. I really enjoy it so far. The Princess Bride

I typically like to read the book and then watch the movie, but people are different on their preferences. Hope you enjoy the rest of the book!

Adam's spot-on: GRRM is amazing, very awe inspiring, IMO. A Game of Thrones can be a bit hard to get into at first, mostly because of all the characters, but it doesn't take very long to get to know them.:) Once that happens, you can't help but love (and loathe,) them!

Haunted was my first of his. It gets mediocre reviews, if memory serves. I liked it. It was bizarre and different than most of why I read. I have now read several of his books and recommend Invisible Monsters.. Chuck is sometimes impossible to read. Pygmy gave me a headache.
Michelle wrote: "I'm just starting The Ocean at the End of the Lane and I'm reading Joyland after that! What did you think of The Ocean?"I enjoyed it. It was a quick little "fairy tale". The type that he is so good at telling.
Presently still reading Black House and Four Past Midnight. Will be reading Black Sunday soon as a buddy read. My July is getting pretty full too.

Thanks Janie. I will have to keep that in mind. Don't think I have the desire to read Black House anymore though. Not now at least.

Black House is a difficult read, but well worth it, IMO. Then again, I'm pretty biased when it comes to King.

I need to read more of his books and I'll probably catch hell saying this BUT I think I like his son (Joe Hill) just a bit better so far.

Me too! That who I voted on the poll at BB.

. Started it last night at bedtime, and already about 20% in. This is really good! It get my dander up, that's for sure (as my great grandmother used to say)!
Me too, Adam and Brenda!Charlene, do you know if any of the movies about sineaters were based on Massie's book?
According to one of my group members, one of the movies (it may have been the one with Heath Ledger) was based on a Christian fiction book. As far as I know, none of the movies are based on this particular book.
I was reading a little about sineaters yesterday and found out that it is an old ritual in some countries.
Yeah... didn't like the Heath Ledger one - The Order, I believe. It is an interesting concept, though. I think I could probably use one nearby when I'm dying... betting that I will, I'll just keep on sinning. :) If it's a good book, I'll check it out.
