Miriam *spoiler*

They do fall for each other in the end but they never end up getting together. You should keep on till the last book, Inheritance, because that's when the "friendship to love" thing happens between Murtagh and Nasuada. It was very subtle.

Divs *spoiler*
they do fall for each other
Nasuada has a vision of having kids with murtagh when she is in galbatorix's captivity and he plays around with her mind

Ruth yes, they fell in love. But thankfully they didn't end up together.

Ruth because it added more depth to the story. When Murtagh left it made me sad, but then I was glad, because he needed some time alone with Thorn. I like to think maybe he came back years later and reunited with Nasuada. But see, he needed to leave.

Cat Yeah I liked that to, because it does make more sense. I think though that Murtagh could have been the main character, and it could have all been his story, and it would still have been great...

Luthfiana Mahmudah yes, they fall for each other..
I agree with Ruth, Murtagh leaving add more beauty and meaning to the story.. He needs to leave and mends his wound before able to embrace any love..

Alfrún Trollsdóttir I personally don't like how Inheritance ends and Murtagh is the only one saving the ending. He's somehow similar to Frodo in LotR - it is necessary for him to leave (but this is a good similarity) when other characters are just disappointing.

Maybe a suggestion to the author is to start a new set of books that has Murtagh as the main character and expand on a possible relationship with Nausada. I'd read it.

That would amazing!
Especially since Christopher Paolini doesn't intend to abandon Alagaesia yet, seeing as he put so much work into making it and that he may return with other books in a few years.
That an afterword at the end of Inheritance, put with all the acknowledgements.

I'd read that right away! I definitly want to read more about Murtagh and Nausada's relationship but i do agree that Inheritance ended the way it should for them.

Hot Chocolate Confessions I am glad that Murtagh went away, because he needs time to properly bond with Thorn, you know without Galbatorix interfering. I think that he does come back later and get together with Nausada. He has to!
