Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments This http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... struck me as odd because of the boldfaced "Barnes and Noble Review" in book description. Are Barnes and Noble data and reviews now allowed? (I know amazon data can be used now although I did not hink that permission applied to amazon reviews).

I did not go thru all the other editions or books in series to see if more Barnes and Noble reviews were being used in place of publisher's synopsis.

Publisher's synopsis is at http://www.us.penguingroup.com/nf/Boo... .

Plethora (bookworm_r) | 359 comments I would think not. The Kindle version says the same thing.

It should be a description of the book, so a review certainly shouldn't be allowed.

Looks like another librarian is already fixing.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments Thanks. The editorial review from bn site quoted actually was not a Barnes and Noble review anyway plus said book was final in series which had bugged me originally (the bn site still says final book in series). Then when going back thru some of my own book reviews I noticed that someone had edited description to say "Barnes &Noble Review" and changed "final" book in series to say "entry" -- a bit OCD maybe but if quoting an editorial review it should not be edited without noting was edited and if had been allowed to use a review from Barnes and Noble the credit needed to say more than "Barnes & Noble Review" which sounds like just taken from one of many reader reviewson the Barnes and Noble site and denote editorial review from "The Barnes and Noble Review" publication.

It seems more appropriate to use the Publisher description over any murky water of if pulled (edited or not) from a BN review.
