I'll read
Atlas Shrugged / Ayn Rand as a friend lent it to me about 2 years ago and it makes me guilty everytime I see it on the shelf!
Trina wrote: "Yea I'll jump in for this one. I own quite a few. Maybe my first will be Cloud Atlas."Good idea! I've been meaning to read Cloud Atlas
for a while.
Sharon wrote: "I've never entered a challenge before but I would like to choose The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks"
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
Another good choice Sharon:)

Bother... none of my remaining Winter Challenge books fit in with this challenge. I'll have to think about whether I can fit another book in next month. Pity I didn't save Angels & Demons until July! :-D

Oh no! I only just finished World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War which would have been perfect for this. I'll have to see what other books I have that have or will be made into a movie now instead.

I'm sure you'll find something else Michelle:)

I'm going to read Catching Fire
and I might try and fit in The Great Gatsby
as I really want to see the movie.
Brenda wrote: "Hope you enjoy Elaine...notice you have changed your avatar...nice one!"Thanks Brenda. Yes my husband found it and I just had to use it as it really describes how I feel about reading.
I have heaps! I don't know which one to chose! I love reading books that have been made into movies. Golden rule though = read the book first!

So good to see new members joining us :)I’m in as well. I’ll need to have a look at my tbr and post later
I have just read Gatsby and am currently reading The Godfather. Oh, bother! I think I will read Cloud Atlas. I did not know its origin was a book. I had just watched the movie with my friends, so it will be nice to compare both versions (considering I am never the movie type).

Nicola wrote: "I'll read

Michael wrote: "Why would the throw out a classic D:"I must take a photo next weeding season. Last week I had to tip about twenty books directly into the recycling bin that we'd taken off the catalogue. Kills me every time.
That's terrible! There are that many people out there who don't have any books to read! Tell them to donate them!!
Couldn't they be donated or something, I'm sure my bookshelves and many others are always looking for new books. But charity shops might be able to sell them.
Yeah I've recommended Savers before, and Save the Children's. Savers is too far away, and Save the Childrens are a bit of a ripoff really.
Does it have to be a movie? Or could it be a TV series? Still page to screen...... Just looking at my TBR and I have one in there I could do
I will at last get round to reading The Shawshank Redemption.Apparently there are four novellas in this particular collection and three of them have been made into movies.
Phrynne wrote: "I will at last get round to reading The Shawshank Redemption.Apparently there are four novellas in this particular collection and three of them have been made into movies."I think that's the one that has 1408 in it as well. I really enjoyed that, both book and movie.
Liam wrote: "I have, they didn't go for it unfortunately. I try to grab any good ones I see before they go."My institution also throws the books into the weeding bin. We also had a few things to say about it but politics still wins. At least they get pulped and made into recycled paper and not just dumped ito landfill tho'.
OK I will read (again)
by Kate Atkinson then when I have read the others in the Jackson Brodie series I can borrow the DVD from the local library.
Janine wrote: "I have lots that fit this challenge but will read
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen by Paul Torday"Good choice! Although the film and book end quite differently, both are good.
I might read one of these two books
My Sister's Keeper
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
My Sister's Keeper
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
Wuthering Heights
Emily Brontë& not a movie but a TV series
The Walking Dead, Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye
Robert Kirkman
Okay this is really hard. I’ve a few books at home and I’m still undecided so I list them here and decide closer to the time. The Light Between Oceans (didn't read it for the June challenge so I might read it here)
The Postman Always Rings Twice
Cloudstreet
The Secret in Their Eyes
Under the Dome
The Big Sleep
Lord of the Flies
Some good choices there Mish! You'll need to put all the titles in a hat and then pull one out;)
I forgot about Under the Dome (which I own) until one of the girls at work mentioned something about the tv show (movie? miniseries?) today. Maybe I'll read that (it's just so big!)

Yes, it is rather big and that's the only think that is putting me off.
