I really like the way the author writes. I can really just lose myself in it :) I really like the premise so far with the island and how the new government works. It reminds me of hunger games of matched. I could really picture the boy on the video they were watching and I'm really curious as to why he seemed familiar to her. It will definitely be an easy book to read 3 chapters a day with. Let me know if you decide you want to do more than that once you start! I think I'd be game at this point :)

I think if I had to have the rest done I would freak out or try to refuse it or something. I really hate needles and I'm not a fan of tests, especially if I don't know exactly what to expect from them, like side effects and stuff. I'm pretty sure I would definitely fail :)
I would also be totally freaked out to pass out from it and have a bunch of people entering the room wondering if my results were normal. That would be such a terrifying experience.
Chapter 1:
I loved the prologue because it immediately started of interesting and tense. I also agree with you Becca that this reminds me of hunger games and that was the first thing that popped in my head! I haven't got to connect with Alenna yet but she is great so far! The setting is clear and the premises is catchy!
Notes:
Alenna- M.C.
UNA-United Nothern Alliance
GPPT- Government Personality Profile Test
Antagonist- Leader of UNA (Minister Roland Harka
Prisoner Island Alpha or Land Across the Water

Chapter 2:
I would be scared shit-less if I were to take this test! I like it though because you think you know what kind of people will pass or fail but its really up to the government not the test right?

Can you imagine how you would feel to wake up in a completely different world? I think that the tribal wars seem primitive and make me think about places like Africa where there are still battles over territory and things. I wonder if we will find out the history behind the sectioning of the island. And I wonder who the monk is...

I know! I am so curious to see who the monk is!! My first guess is Alenna's dad!!!!!

Well that answered my questions haha I'm really glad that they answered so many of my questions from the previous chapter but now I'm wondering what kind of questions they're going to ask her and how they have needles and some of the other materials they have on the island.

The myth of Sisyphus was also in crossed. I think it's funny that it's used in two different stories of this genre :) I feel soooo bad for 'those who suffer.' I hope they find some sort of cure for it or at least the cause of it during this book! And I can definitely see why they wouldn't want babies around between the fighting and the sickness and stuff. I feel bad for them though because having a family is a big part of life (for most people) and even with all their new found freedom they mention I feel like they lost a few big parts to get it. I mean, living off the land and stuff wouldn't be so bad, but not being able to have a family and always fearing for your life is a lot to trade for freedom when you may not even realize you're not really free.
Okay, what chapter or page are you on?? I really cannot put this down and I might finish this tonight!!
Its getting juicy!!

That's fine, I might finish this sometime today and when you finish we can discuss it as a whole. It's getting really good by there way :-)

I got really excited when she found Liam but everything started to happen so fast with the attack that I couldn't finish feeling what I was feeling about that before I started feeling excited and anxious about the fighting and David. I really like how the author writes and makes me feel what Alenna is feeling.
I think david is one of my favorite characters. He so mysterious and he has knowledge that no one else would know.

So excited that she found out something about her parents even if it's not much!!! Can't wait to find out more!!!
