Las | 6 comments I am attempting to add a book so that I can add it to this list Online M/M Stories That Deserve To Be Published. The name of the book is "The Rules To Survive High School" and the author is fedaykin_here.
It is not my work but I did get the permission of the author to add it to this list.

I could not figure out how to add the url to the record. Here is an example of what I was trying to do.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/75....

Can you please tell me what I am missing.

Thank you

Betsy | 605 comments Are you a librarian? If so, edit the book data. There is a field called "official URL" just above the description. Just type the url address in there.

If you're not a librarian, just post the url in this thread and a librarian can add it for you.

Las | 6 comments I am not a librarian but I added the book and I have the page open The field above description is edition and the field above that is format. Perhaps you do not see the url unless you are a librarian? Thank you

Las | 6 comments When I went back to the page I see this note at the top

Important: if you're on this page you have been granted a special "librarian" or author status, and can edit book data. Don't take this responsibility lightly—if you can help correct any inaccuracies or add any missing data, please do so! But only make changes if you're sure they're correct.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Yes, the URL field is only available to librarians, probably because people kept misusing it for bookseller links. (You have some librarian-like rights to edit records which you originally created, but apparently that doesn't include URLs.)

Las | 6 comments So I think I am understanding that I need to fill in what I can and then submit a request via this method to have the url added. Is that correct? Thank you for your help.

Las | 6 comments Please add this url to this book "The Rules To Survive High School" and the author is fedaykin_here.

Las | 6 comments I appreciate the adding of the url to "The Rules To Survive High School" whose author is fedaykin_here.

Once that was there I added it to the list I wanted to "Online M/M Stories That Deserve To Be Published." I see it there when I am logged in and can see others have voted for it too. However, I found that I do not see it unless I am logged in. Is there something else I need to do in order for it to show up all the time? Thanks

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments The page you see when logged out is heavily cached and it may take a few days for changes to show to logged-out viewers. If you can see it when you're logged in, the changes are fine.

That link doesn't work, but your book is on your page.
