I knooooooooooooooooow. All deez people hating on him makes me sad. Like everything he's done was for her, because he loves her. And she's been shutting him out and it breaks my heart at the same time makes me want to choke a few characters.

thank you. He is so beyond her. No doubt. But he is a just a little creepy. But that's what makes him him, ya know. Like no one hate on 9 (from Lorien Legacies) because he does stupid things without thinking and is always talking and starting problems. Because thats what makes him him

Ya... It's shorter than the 5the Wave.

message 159: by [deleted user] (new)

Omg I know right. I was SURPRISED

message 160: by Lissa (new)

Lissa Sullivan I do agree that Evan didn't give the right first impression. I feel like Ben has some feelings for Cassie but likes Ringer more. However (Infinite Wave spoilers) I think Ringer and Razor are a better couple, even though Razor's a lying little butthead and he's dead. I feel like this might turn into the Twilight thing: with "Team Evan" and "Team Ben/Zombie". I hope dearly it doesn't end up like this.

message 161: by [deleted user] (new)

Ahem....
SPOILERS*****

Razor is NOT dead. Just sayin.

I freak'in agree with you! what's not to like? Don't get me wrong but Ben is just to soft for Cassie whereas Evan can protect her from his fellow aliens and Ben is two steps behind Evan. You know just say'in.

message 163: by Angel (last edited Jan 11, 2016 02:22AM) (new)

Angel Ann Reading your diary, kissing you without permission and seeing you naked is totally creepy, yes it is in big way but if you look at it differently that person can understand you, you can be transparent with him, he won't judge you because he knows you... Just like the relationship between Warner and Juliette (Shatter Me Series --totally love this series) he understands her, what's she's feeling and Juliette can be her true self with him. .

message 164: by [deleted user] (new)

OML. SHATTER ME SERIES WAS FANTASTIC. LIKE. WHAT. EVEEEEENNNN.

message 165: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Please please tell me you guys are kidding. First Evan was the guy who saved her life... She would be dead without him being there at all. Second she had dirt and blood all over her not even to mention that she had been shot on her leg when she was wearing jeans... Of course he was gonna in dress her and clean her up so she doesn't wake up with blood and dirt. How nice is that... I see how you guys can see it's creepy but he was helping calm down... He did so much for her you guys are just jealous!!!!!

message 166: by Theo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Theo Meyer I had to Google Stockhold syndrome... lol. I completely disagree. no offense meant

message 167: by [deleted user] (new)

OML. STOCKHOLDERS SYNDROME XD XD XD

message 168: by Theo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Theo Meyer I'd doubt Cassie has Stockhold syndrome. Like really. what made ANYONE think of that? Evan didn't kidnap her, he saved her life. and their relationship obviously isn't forced because Cassie is strong enough to like, just tell him no. Mr. Yancey probably didn't intend for it to seem that way.

message 169: by Theo (new) - rated it 5 stars

Theo Meyer No way is Evan Walker creepy! My like dream character, lol

OML

message 174: by Deborah (new)

Deborah I totally feel that she should be with Evan one because he is so fine in the movie and second is because if it wasn't for Evan , Ben and Cassie would have never found Cassie brother or gotten out of the army base alive

message 175: by Deborah (new)

Deborah Nightlock wrote: "Evan is not only creepy. He's ultra, super, mega creepy! *shudder* O.o"
I suggest you watch the movie it gives you a better understanding why Evan took care of Cassie. He really cared about her and he saved her from the others killing her : )

message 177: by [deleted user] (new)

I feel as if in the movie I'll like him better. But if she doesnt take Ben... I WILL.

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

I love spectating XD

message 179: by Wayne (new)

Wayne Filkins It makes sense that you think these things but there are some aspects you may not understand. I know this is a chic book or w/e and i haven't read it but i just saw the movie and came across this on google. Anyway just wanted to clear up that in a post-apocalyptic environment there could be a higher risk of infection so being shot with already possibly bad hygeine / dirty clothes, by changing her clothes and bathing her he literally saved her life. He does seem a little creepy but I think it's more of a protective thing. The world is under alien invasion and he doesnt want someone he loves to be in danger. Also I think its supposed to be a "love at first sight" thing, which I understand
because I have witnessed it but up until that moment I didnt believe in it either so I see where you're coming from. For the movie version I was more concerned with the age difference because Cassie looks like 14 and Evan looks like he's pushin 30 lol.

RIIIIIGHT. Nick Robinson's b-day was like.. last Tuesday... omg. He is my life. XD

message 181: by [deleted user] (new)

OMG. THAT ACTOR. IS MY. BOY. FRIENDDDDDDDD XD

message 182: by Mikytenshi (new)

Mikytenshi I do not think he is creepy.
Ok, think of it like this. You live your life feeling different, not knowing why, one day you finally know why and just do what you are supposed to.
You do your thing than you see a person who has everything you like when you look at them. You pause, you look, you decide. Why should I kill her...? I don't really want to. You literately have nothing else to do but you know you are not supposed to just go in and start a conversation, especially in the middle of the woods. You know Silencers patrol the woods, she is in the woods, you keep an eye on her.... I am being stupid, I should do my job. I shoot her. Breathe in, pause.... I don't really wanna kill her. She is shot, lost blood, malnourished, her wound needs to be cleaned, I don't know anything about her or when she will wake up. I take care of her, change her with what I have (like nurses do with unconscious patients, not to mention the IV kept her hydrated so she would need to pee, I know, uncomfortable thought but is he supposed to leave her there and let her piss herself in her dirty clothes? *end rant*)... time passes.. nothing to but take care of her, I look trough her things and find a notebook.. I should put it away because why? I read, I wanna know the person I am saving more. I read, I like her more.
You get the gist of what I am saying. Not to mention some scumbag human would most likely tie her up and keep her in his basement in a post apocalyptic world. She has room to move, he does not force himself on her, he just tries to keep her safe, knowing that she would probably die on her own. Evan is strong, intelligent, he can literately do whatever he wants with her, his actions are more like that of a loyal dog that does not want to bite a wounded friend even when that friend is trying to bite him ....he just silently guards the house and than follows along to make sure their loved one is safe, keeping a distance for a while because he was pushed away. From this point of view I think he is highly logical in his actions, he remembers being human and gives her space, but not enough so she ends up dead without his knowledge.

message 183: by Ema (new)

Ema Cverenkárová I didn't read the book, but I saw the movie. (and now i'm sad, because i didn't know some book even exist! And i don't want read that book after I seen movie..) :( But, this isn't what i want to write. In the movie, Even Walker was the absolutely hottest guy of every guys who were in that movie. You have to trust me! His eyes, smile and that body! Omg! I was just looking on that body and my mouth was open and my spit was sinking of my chin. (i now that sounds really disgusting..) But one thing is still running after my mind.. Is he alive?! Because in the movie, he just kissed Cassie and left. And he didn't show up before the end or after. This is killing me, literally!
(sorry for my english)

message 184: by [deleted user] (new)

Gurl... read da book. Its a trilogy. I already preordered the third book. Trust me read it it is so worth it

message 185: by Grace (new)

Grace Curley I think the only way this romance thing is going to make sense if Cassie goes with Evan. I love Ben as a character, but I think he really belongs with Ringer. He always tries so hard to make her smile and she challenges him. They are a great opposites-match. As for Cassie and Evan, it is obvious that Evan really loves her, and Cassie probably does love him. I just think it is quite unreasonable for Cassie to be with Ben at the end when she literally had a crush on a guy she never talked to and at the end when Ben kisses her it seems like he only did it because she was like one of the only options and he knew her before and she was pretty tbh. It was probably just in the moment. But I think Cassie's crush on Ben is mainly gone now, probably just the sense of security and 'safety' and mainly has feelings for Evan, and she has also matured more because of the waves so she is less naive.

Also, I was kind of confused in the kiss scene when cassie said to evan to not kiss her. It kind of seemed like she did want him to kiss her, and she really wasn't trying very hard to stop him. It seemed like she was saying to not kiss her out of sensibility instead of what she actually felt. Idk. You tell me.

EDIT:

The movie's romance was very different to the book's, Evan's relationship with Cassie was way less stalkerish, she kissed him willingly (in fact, she was the one who initiated it), Ben didn't kiss her in the end, and overall it just seems like Evan is a better person.

message 187: by Lola (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lola Flores HE IS NOT CREEPY! I think he is nice because his job was to kill her but instead he watched her and saved her!

message 188: by [deleted user] (new)

But then he BATHED her. He KISSED her. He CLOTHED her. If you see that sweet, I want to put you in that situation. Let's let a stranger do that to you. ',:|

message 189: by Lola (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lola Flores Well it was weird, but he was just trying to keep her alive!

message 190: by [deleted user] (new)

Okie dokie. Imma just let a complete stranger RUB HIS HANDS ALL UP ON YOU. e.e

message 191: by Brutus_ (new) - rated it 1 star

Brutus_ Changing clothes and cleaning- that's hygiene. Reading her diary... Well, that's understandable, if he wants to know who did he save....(view spoiler)
But the kiss was certainly a red line for me. "No" means "no"? Or it's all okay if the guy is hot?

message 192: by [deleted user] (new)

He. Isn't. HOT. Sheesh....

Why should she thank him for not KILLING her?

message 196: by Amaya Apples (last edited Jun 17, 2016 07:34AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Amaya Apples Okay i dont know what people are talking about .........not to be harsh or anything like that but reading her journal is the reason why he did not kill her obviously in his point of view and after days of watching her ....... he couldnt shoot her he fell in LOVE so that ment that after shooting her in the knee (and not killing her) that he had to do something he couldnt just let her die so he brang her to his house and had to bathe her she was bloody and covered with dirt you think he would put a bloody filthy girl in the bed ??? and then put clothes on her so she wasn't laying completely naked ,and then kissing her because thats really the thing that kept her from going ..........she obviously was bothered by it at first but on the next page she obviously didn't care im not going to go into detail into what she said but yah........ opinions are opinions but ben is a total pain in the butt does not say anything he just wants to kill Evan and go even though he literally risked his fricking life to save his ungrateful self i honestly think Ben should not be in charge of anything Evan should because Evan obviously literally knows more ,also plus i dont thing Cassie belongs to Ben i think because Ben is so invested in ringer trying to make her smile so i think Evan should end up with cassie

Linda Dobinson Love Apples wrote: "Linda wrote: "Hu wrote: "it does make since he loves her right i mean she was filthy, she was bleeding for crying out loud her clothes were probably soaked with it and i actually do hope Cassie end..."

OK let me start again - why should she thank him for not letting her die after HE SHOT HER! I will never like Evan! I do not trust Evan! Evan is an alien! He has killed humans! He stole human Evan's body!

Amaya Apples Lissa wrote: "I do agree that Evan didn't give the right first impression. I feel like Ben has some feelings for Cassie but likes Ringer more. However (Infinite Wave spoilers) I think Ringer and Razor are a bett..."

then y r u talking about it

.........................................im just speechless 'AFTER HE SHOT HER IN THE LEG' you also should have added 'AND SAVED HER RIGHT AFTER SHE WAS WOUNDED SO WHAT COULD HE DO LET HER LAY IN BLOOD AND SWEAT IN A BED OR REMOVE THE BULLET AND CLEAN HER UP'

Amaya Apples Sara wrote: "WTF? They f*cking glorified Evan in the movie. They're masking the grossness and rapist-like qualities with a pretty face and saying it's ok."

re-word every thing you need to read the dang story again ............here's two options
1.wake up in blood and sweat and all smelly'
or
2.wake up nice and clean

i think every one would choose two
