Heidi Peltier | 71 comments My books are on amazon and smashwords. So I'm wondering the best way to advertise that. Amazon is easy. I just say "available on amazon for kindle." Smashwords is different. Personally I had never heard of smashwords before I joined this website so I am not sure how many others out there have. But just to say its available on B&N for nook doesn't cover it. Though I have never heard of all the other devices smashwords lists. Sooooo the question is -how do you list it?

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 2274 comments This is like my thread of the same topic. I've found that the main three places to have ones book are Amazon, Barnes&Noble and Smashwords. Amazon is an absolute must in todays world given they are trying to take over it. Smashwords is good if you know how it works and can navigate through and Barnes&Noble if you can really sell to them that your book will sell.

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 2274 comments The best way to advertise them is to post links to them wherever you can. You usually want to post Amazon first since it's your main source of interest most cases.

Heidi Peltier | 71 comments But my question is how to you say it? For example I have it at the end of my book trailer. Cant really do a link there. So I say "available on amazon for kindle" but then for smashwords it would be like "available on smashwords for nook, kobo, apple readers, and all the others.... too wordy.

Belinda Buchanan | 34 comments Heidi,

I have an author friend who says "available wherever e-books are sold". That covers the big 3 and also encompasses sites like kobo, apple, sony, diesel, etc. thru smashwords.

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 2274 comments I read the question wrong so hence my two responses but Belinda pretty much summed it up, good way to put it.

Heidi Peltier | 71 comments Thanks! That sounds good. I hadn't seen it written like that before.

Chris Ward (chriswardfictionwriter) Just use hyperlinks with the label of the ereader, or store, e.g. Kindle / Amazon, Nook / Barnes & Noble, Kobo Ereader / Kobo etc.

If your reader has one of those devices they'll know all about the store. And if they don't have one then they're not likely to need the link. For Smashwords just put "available here in all ebook formats".

Don Satalic (donsatalic) | 19 comments Heidi,

Try to provide a link in all your comments and messages regarding your book. It puts readers that much closer to your book and a sale.

Joe Pfeiler | 9 comments Heidi,

Do you have a blog? If so, you can put the links at the bottom of each of your posts. Here's how I did mine: http://halfitalianbook.blogspot.com/

The same for any posts you make to other social media like Facebook, Google +, etc. Just say "For Kindle", "For Nook" etc. and include the link with each one.

Heidi Peltier | 71 comments That's how I did it on my webpage. I was really just wondering how to show it at the end of my book trailers. I put the website in the description below in YouTube and it's also on the screen during the trailer (at the end). Thanks for all the tips, guys!
