Joyce (enjoyceinglife) | 1 comments Hello, I'm new to this group - and excited about the possibilities. I'm hoping you can assist me: What is the best fictional biography you've ever read? I’m doing some research and would love suggestions. The best I've read so far is “Douglass’ Women” by Jewell Parker Rhodes. Phenomenal! So what’s yours? Thank you for any recommendations you can provide!

Kim Those Who Love by Irving Stone is a fascinating fictional biography of John and Abigail Adams. Opened a whole new world for me.

Lauren I personally loved "A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald" by Therese Anne Fowler!

Marlana Williams (marlanawilliams) Hi! Sorry, I know it seems as if I just joined I'm not exactly new here. I just didn't want to post under my personal profile. I saw this topic and wanted to link my own book here. It's the true story of a woman who worked as a prostitute/dancehall girl in the Klondike. So for being fictional and biographical at the same time, if you're interested in turn-of-the-century from a woman's perspective from the Klondike, here it is: Doll of Dawson

Nanci Svensson | 1 comments The executioner's song by Norman mailer. I definitely read this as fiction though I guess it's a fine line - I'm sure there are those who more or less reads this as well researched non-fiction. However, the narrative mirrors so many themes that Mailer discuss in several books so I think there are a lot of (fantastic) embellishments of the story and characters.
