So I had a look at this book in the library (can we all say door-stop) and there are two options for the reading schedule, if anyone has a preference?
#1 - the book can be easily split by 50 pages a day which makes it a slower read over 11 days
#2 - the book can also be split by "parts" as it has 6 parts, but that makes it about 100 pages or so a day. Or we can do a part over 2 days making it a 12 day read (but with less DQs than option 1)
Preferences anyone?

I'm also reading Gone with the Wind and Wolf Hall at the same time!
I think I am keener on that too and between you, LK and I it only makes for a few sets of DQs each really.
I will set up a schedule this weekend
I will set up a schedule this weekend

I might do it as 50p per day as the first book was not really fast-paced/action packed so hopefully it won't be too difficult to pause :) I guess we can always make it more pages once we start if it seems to not be working
I just updated message 2...
JoLene - Are you ok for the first 3 days, or I can change it to 2 days if you prefer?
LK - Do these days suit you?

Luckily, if they do, my library has a read for fines program during the summer where each 100 pgs of reading will take $1 off your overdue charges. Reading the book will pay for itself if necessary.
lol! What a cool program Tutlecollector!
My library only has the hardcover version and they're not so popular so I'm banking on it being available for the BR! If not, I'll just get it on my kindle

As a community service project, we also have a donation program in November and December called Food for Fines, where if patrons donate food to the Food Bank they can have some overdue fines waived. There is a limit of up to $20 for this. Then on Martin Luther King day in January, we go to the Food Bank and help them sort out all the donations.

Just got my HB copy at the library, but I might also use my audible credit. I find when doing the questions, it's easier if I have a DTB copy.

Just like Seymour from the Little Shop of Horrors

That is tough JoLene. Luckily my 2 F2F bookclubs had good ones this month:

What is a buddy read?
Synopsis:
IT BEGAN WITH A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES.
Historian Diana Bishop, descended from a line of powerful witches, and long-lived vampire Matthew Clairmont have broken the laws dividing creatures. When Diana discovered a significant alchemical manuscript in the Bodleian Library, she sparked a struggle in which she became bound to Matthew. Now the fragile coexistence of witches, daemons, vampires and humans is dangerously threatened.
Seeking safety, Diana and Matthew travel back in time to London, 1590. But they soon realise that the past may not provide a haven. Reclaiming his former identity as poet and spy for Queen Elizabeth, the vampire falls back in with a group of radicals known as the School of Night. Many are unruly daemons, the creative minds of the age, including playwright Christopher Marlowe and mathematician Thomas Harriot.
Together Matthew and Diana scour Tudor London for the elusive manuscript Ashmole 782, and search for the witch who will teach Diana how to control her remarkable powers
