Katherine (thebookkaterpillar) | 31 comments Pay It Forward is a great one with a great message. I saw the movie starring Haley Joel Osment, Helen Hunt, and Kevin Spacey first. Surprisingly, I loved the movie as well as the book. I could see why they made the changes they did for the movie adaptation. It is a great heartwarming read that may make you cry a bit. I really enjoyed it. It is one of my favorites!

I had no idea that the movie is based on a book! The movie was spectacular, I can only imagine the book is at least as good as the movie. Thanks for the recommendation Kat!

Holly Foley (Procida) (hprocida) | 3 comments I think all students (and Humans) should read the book Wonder It is incredible.

Alejandra Armitage | 10 comments The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson was the most mind boggling thing I've ever read.

message 5: by Megan (new)

Megan | 7 comments For those who genuinely just need an escape from the unhappiness of everyday day life, you really need to read The Fault in Our Stars. No book has ever made me burst out laughing while weeping, and it just gives you a sentimental but believable story to hang on to in your fragile moments. Nothing ever moved me like this.

message 6: by Ishbel (new)

Ishbel For Hunger Games fans, read the maze runner and divergent!!

For those who liked TFIOS, try the boy in the striped pyjamas (slightly different but are both sad, eye-opening and memorable!)

message 7: by Jacque (new)

Jacque | 6 comments The Mad Scientist's Daughter by Cassandra Rose Clarke. WONDERFUL. The protagonist, Cat is a little girl when her father (the scientist) brings her home a tutor, Finn who is an android who looks and acts human. Cat and Finn grow together as Cat grows up and they become closer and in ways Cat never thought possible with a robot. I think this story was a perfect masterpiece.
