Hey Megan! The Dark Proposal is a very interesting take on vampires. What was your inspiration behind the story? :)

Hi Victoria!

Two things inspired my book: True Blood and modern technology.

I like to watch that show, and at one point I started to wonder what it would be like if a sexy vampire came into my life. But then I realized: vampires are evil creatures! From there, I began to lay out the story that will become The Dark Proposal.

I also had wondered how could vampires exist these days with modern technology and increasing surveillance. It is not easy to be anonymous for anyone these days, so what could it be like for a vampire? I touch on this a little in my book, and will explore it further in my next two books.
