Krystle Jones (krystlejoneswrites) | 5 comments Hello, lovely librarians!

I can't believe I didn't notice this sooner. A while back, I went through a rebranding, where I separated my more serious, slow-moving epic fantasy titles from my fast-paced, lighter urban fantasy/paranormal romance titles. I had them all lumped together but decided this might attract the wrong type of readers to each brand.

I noticed, however, that one of my epic titles (Veiled Innocence under the pen name K.D. Jones) is still linked to my Krystle Jones profile.

Is there a way to break that link? For some reason, the K.D. Jones profile isn't referring back to my other titles under Krystle Jones.

Thanks for any help/advice!

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments You published one edition of Veiled Innocence under Krystle Jones, actually. Was this book originally published under Krystle or K.D.? We don't have the first edition listed, so I can't tell. (Do you still have the publication information for the first edition? It would be nice to have a complete record.)

I originally published it under Krystle, along with all my other epic titles.

Thalia (thaliaanderson) | 259 comments It probably shows that way because of the original publication under Krystle--because somewhere out there, editions still exist that people have bought under "Krystle Jones" before the republish. I think it's similar to how GR doesn't remove/change covers of published books. If it was originally published under Krystle Jones, then I don't know if GR will want to change that edition to reflect the new ones, or if they can just keep it listed as a separate edition. I'm not sure of the policy on author names.

You were absolutely right. The original edition still reflected Krystle Jones. I changed it to K.D. Jones and the book vanished from the Krystle Jones list.

Thank you so much for the tip!

However, changing the original author on a work is a violation of Goodreads policy, so I have reverted that change.
