Heidi Anne Heiner runs both Surlalune Fairy Tale Website and the Surlalune Blog. Both are very influential in terms of writers and knowledge about fairy tales. The purpose of this folder is either to discuss the website or blog as well as the various collections (each of which will get a dedicated thread).

I love browsing around on this website!

It gives the history behind each tale, and if you click on the "modern interpretations" link, it gives a list of re-tellings. I've found a lot of books just based on them being included on those listings.

If you're a romance novel fan, though, they hide the link to the pure romance novel adaptations in plain sight at the top of the "modern interpretations" page.

I love this site too but my computer does weird things when ever I go on it. I don't know why!

Siareen | 35 comments I found the site when researching a Rumpelstiltskin project and I've loved it ever since. I follow the blog and go onto it often to look at the different fairy tales :)
