I just finished chapter 3 and it's not an easy read emotionally.

I'm mot nearly that far yet, but I think that's been a problem even since book 1. The kids seem to expect Sam to handle everything since he was the HERO who saved all the bus kids in GONE. But he's just a kid himself.

okay 7 chapters in and switching to another book

yeah, WOW, the cast of characters is HUGE! LOL!

Diana, Bug, Computer Jack, Sam, Drake, Caine, Mary, Brianna, Taylor - and that's just a few! lol!

But I kept reading and it's an easy read. I'll read more tonight :)

I see what Sam's saying - kids of farmers aren't on a payment system. They don't get extra things for doing their chores - they do them because they have to be done
