Tricia wrote: "My Sister the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. This is a very different type of psychological thriller. It's more about the bond Ayoola and Korede have as sisters. It was recommended via Faceb..." Sounds great. This genre has been getting so so.

I read A Virtuous Woman by Kaye Gibbons (and also Ellen Foster by the same author, and I really liked it better), and Songs in Ordinary Time by Mary McGarry Morris, and Vinegar Hill by A. Manette Ansay. I also finally read She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb not long ago.
Enjoy your reading!
I would love to suggest The Forgotten Timepiece it's a sci-fi/time travel/historical romance that pulls back the curtain on racism when a racially ambiguous adopted girl goes on a quest to find her heritage. On her journey, she meets her quirky grandmother who gifts her a family heirloom which causes her to time travel to 1859 where she lives the life of her great great grandmother as a slave. It has been well received, and hit #1 on Amazon Kindle for African American Sci-Fi. I'm looking to network with other authors and would love to gain more readers and hopefully at some point be an official selection for your group.
The Forgotten Timepiece
The Rooster Bar - John Grisham. Down and out law students decide to take the law into their own hands.
