Great book!! I loved the charechter and her transformation
My name is Shirley Harris-Slaughter and our radio show will be discussing a book we read called "Novy's Son" by Karen Ingalls. It was interesting in that I normally don't like to read someone's personal biography unless they are famous people I know. The fact that I enjoyed it is a tribute to the writer.

I also like despite her routine life she's not totally against trying out new things ....also how she's sensitive to other people's feelings somewhat.

Yes, I was surprised how she was willing to step outside her usual routines. She really grew as a person.
I was given a paperback arc of Other People's Houses
and started that yesterday. A very funny story about neighbors in a LA suburb.

I am currently reading Damaged by Lisa Scottoline, and still also reading The Bone People by Keri Hulme, and When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron.
Shawna wrote: "The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo"This has been on my To-read list for a long time now :)
I'm currently reading Serving Victoria: Life in the Royal Household and this focuses on the life of the servants and everyday life in general during the reign of Queen Victoria - it makes things interesting to learn of another era in Britain - and I keep updating it with the million pages challenge me and a few others are undertaking this year as well

I'm on a romance bend, seems like the perfect way to counteract all the stress I've been dealing with lately. I'm currently reading the Highlander series by Lyndsay Sands, always an entertaining writer.

Reading The Four, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Googe, how these four horseman , as the author describes them while battling each other, are poised to take over the world and in Somme respect like Google already has.
Also reading The People vs. Alex Cros. If you are into the Crosses (Alex and his family especially his 90+ year old grandmothe), this book is for you.
Crazy question but how do I respond back to a comment on here or comment on someone’s post???? I see people doing it but I can’t figure it out 😬🙄😬🙄😬

I finished Jodi Picoult's The Storyteller - quite fascinating! Now I'm reading Seeing Red, by Sandra Brown. I will finish it to see how it turns out, but I'm not impressed...
Here are the review of 2 of 3 books that I finished earlier this week.

currently reading Still Me by Jojo Moyes :) In my opinion, it's so much better than the previous books.
I'm reading Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult. She is a good writer so it's holding my interest, but I don't think it's as good as her books Small Great Things or The Storyteller.
Leslie wrote: "I'm reading Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult. But my favorite one is still Leaving Time and then Small Great Things. But I haven't read all her work yet.
Sanjana wrote: "The Heart's Invisible Furies"Hope you're enjoying this one. I love John Boyne 's writing style and his books are always on my to read list.
Great advice found in a cozy mystery: "we should only be judged on two things: if we're kind, and if we read books"

Me too! The first of his books I read was called Crippen, because he's related to me (Crippen, not Boyne).
