I am currently reading "Think like Da Vinci". Excellent book about a genius. It gives insight of maestro's (Da Vinci) mind...Next I would like to go for some historical classic or an inspiring autobiography. Please share your recommendations.
I recently finished The Cutting Season by Attica Locke. I set out wanting to like this, but I'm afraid I ended up disappointed, wondering where it ended, it could have had less in the body and more on the end for me.
Zineb wrote: "I am about to read The Glass Castle (finally!)."I am half way through this one and am really enjoying it although i do have a friend who believes its exaggerated, no one can really remember what happened when they were that young.
Finished
by Pam Jenoff-- 3 StarsWWII historical fiction and a circus-- oh my!

Timbuktu by Paul Auster. It takes me a while to read this since it is in English, which is not my native language and Austers English is beautiful but not the easiest thing in the world. It is about Mr Bones, a dog and his view of the world with his mentally ill owner Willy. Recommend!
I just finished reading Dying For You by Beverly Barton. Her books always leave me on the edge of my seat and I can't stop until the mystery is solved.
Jen Ward's "Enlightenment Unveiled: Expound into Empowerment." It's an incredible collection of case studies Jen facilitated and innovative healing practices that Jen created. This author and dynamic energy healer has 8 books to date, all different. I have found her books on Amazon. If anyone seeks to heal themselves or feel empowered in their lives, see this book.
Hi I just finished reading " Behold the Dreamers". I must say it was so good I did not want to put it down! I generally read in the evening before bed and I could not wait to have the opportunity to read it again! If I can find where I put it I would love to send it to someone who wants to read it!
Stacy wrote: "I'm reading The Heart Goes Last - Margaret Atwood. My first 'Atwood'. Still undecided."Hi All! Glad to be here. LOVE M Atwood....don't let a more recent piece of work by her stop you. MUST is the Maddaddam trilogy. Mind and attitude changing.
hello! I'm Shanell from Pittsburgh I love many different genres of books, but currently im reading "The Long Walk to Freedom"
I am currently reading "Between the World and Me" by Ta-Nehisi Coates. I haven't finished it yet but it is an incredible book that I highly recommend!
Just finished Drums of Autumn (Book 4 Outlander series), and started the Fiery Cross (Book 5), by Diana Gabaldon.
Just finished "The Kitchen Boy" by Robert Alexander... while traveling the Volga River. Pretty appropriate considering the history!!! Great read, btw.

For historical fiction and romance, you have to ready anything by Isabelle Allende! I especially liked Ines of My Soul, Daughter of Fortune and Portrait in Sepia.

She's been on my radar for a number of years. Must prioritize one of her books. Which one do you suggest to read first?

I so far have only read 2 of Isabelle Allende's books, but my favorite of those 2 is Daughter of Fortune.
I just finished The General's Women . I found it fascinating. Even though it is partial fiction and partial historical it gave me insight into a man I rather admired mostly for his leadership during WWII.
I just finished Life Rolls On: My Life With SMA https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and now I am reading The Marsh King's Daughter
I just started Look at Me by Jennifer Egan. I've got 3 weeks to finish it since I borrowed it from the library.
