A Gentleman in Moscow. It has gotten such rave reviews that I'm eager to get into this one.Update: excellent book! 5 stars: I highly recommend.
I've just started reading Atomsed by Michel Houellebeck - excellent so far. Was reading 'The Casual Vacancy' by JK Rowling - well written and enjoyed some of it but could not really get into it as much as this one. Julia
I am currently reading The Second Mrs. Hockaday as I just finished The Wishing Spell https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I am currently reading Christopher's Diary: Echoes of Dollanganger. This book follows on from Christopher's Diaty: Secrets of Foxworth. I did enjoy the first book and I am equally engaged in this book so far. Anyone that read the Flowers in the Attic Series may be interested in reading theses books. Although I must warn they are not nearly as gripping as the original series.
I am reading What I know for Sure for Oprah! And I have to say I am loving it and enjoying soo much! It is s o far my other favourite books after A New Earth!
Finished
by Ruth Ware-- 3 Stars.MEH- I did turn the pages quickly, but the depth was lacking.

Hi, my name is Gaudy I live in the Bronx, NY. I am currently reading "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck" by Mark Manson.
Just finished The Trail of Broken Wings. It is about an Asian Indian Family living in the US. A heart wrenching story of family secrets that all but break the three daughters and mother. A bit of a surprise ending but hopeful. I highly recommend this one. I have read many books about the trials faced by Asian Indians who migrate to the US and have learned much about the culture, the food, the dress ... I could go on but suffice it to say that while enjoying the stories I learn quite a lot I would not otherwise know.

Really enjoyed Mom & Me & Mom as well!
Do Not Say We Have NothingI just finished this book - winner of the Man Booker prize. Very worthwhile.
I just started The Antagonist
I've definitely started the year off right this month!!! My January picks are:Recently finished:
Love Warrior
Neverwhere
The Winter People
Currently reading:
Relic
Midnight Crossroad
I usually am reading one book and listening to one audiobook at any given time.
Finished TINY LITTLE THING, by Beatriz Williams. I'm batting retty good for January so far, have read FIRST COMES LOVE, by Emily Giffon; TRAIL OF BROKEN WINGS, bySegal Badnana; I'LL TAKE YOU THERE, by Wally Lamb; Next up is THE SLEEPWALKER, by Chris Bohjalian, plus another 7 on my list. At this rate I think I may exceed my challenge for 2017, where I estimated 48 books for the year. Yippee! Nothin' better than a good book to feed my soul.
I just finished the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. It is a novel comprised of letters. Very quick read, I read it in 1 day. Warm, funny, sweet, sad, happy and oh so touching; I loved it!!!

I'm reading this now. Off to a slow start but have read so many positive reviews that I know I should keep going.
Yesterday, I finished

and am listening to

Lidoshka wrote: "I had to start reading "Hidden Figures" after seeing the movie, it's SO good"I am going to see the movie tonight. Everyone told me the book might be easier to get into after seeing the movie. It sounds like a great and inspirational story but the book is heavy on the history, so much so that (a) I feel it could be two separate books, and (b) I bought the young readers' edition in the hopes that it will get to the heart of the story without so much background.

Lorrea, let us know how you liked the movie! I hope you're enjoying the book as well, I'm learning so much from it.

Hi Christina! How did you like the movie? Powerful, right? I agree, I'm glad I went to see the movie before reading the book, because since the movie doesn't give too much information about the characters' background outside of NASA, the book is really interesting and detailed. It does feel rushed at times, I'm right there with you. I want to know even more about these women, I'm going to look through some of the reports that they published. The math might go over my head, but oh well!
I am on a role ... finished my seventh read so far for January 2017, and am not just finishing 'The Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grissom, which I cannot put down. It's a must read, don' let this one slip by you.
Annie B when you finish The Kitchen House then grab Glory Over Everything: Beyond the Kitchen House. It's the story continued. Both are fantastic reads...and I read a lot! Last year I read over 275 books. This year I have over 22 books read so far.
I just started reading "The Life We Bury". By Allen Eskens. So far, I am liking this book. Real characters, intriguing story.
Currently listening to "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyasi (the narrator makes it even better) and reading "Homesick for Another World" by Ottessa Moshfegh.
