Iva Dimitrova (httpswwwfacebookcomid524) | 4 comments I'm reading Cormac McCarthy, The Road, but in recent days I have given priority to Carl Sagsn, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark. Besides it is remarkable and very interesting, I think it will be useful for my next book which I plan to be in a series :). McCarthy's book, on the other hand... For me, he is one of the writers with an exceptional mind and a distinctive style.

message 8099: by Ellen (new)

Ellen Holtzman | 1 comments This is my first post on Oprah's book club. I am a psychotherapist and an author. I like books where character is an important aspect of the story, and all of Elizabeth Strout's books fit the bill. I just finished her latest, "Tell Me Everything." Some readers might feel as if not enough happens in the book. I would say that things happen, in a quiet and subtle way. The book centers upon the interaction between the characters.
