I'm glad you like it so far Mickey. I must read it soon

I won't mention that I normally read 3 at a time

No way...I could not read 3 at once. My brain will certainly get confused. Even in different formats.

I usually read several concurrently, so as to achieve maximal intracranial entropy. :)
Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation was a very funny book! I remember enjoying it very much. I might dig it out and read it again too.

Yes; Eats Shoots, and: Leaves, is, absolutely, hilarious, and -- having seen some egregiously misused punctuation recently -- I was? ...,: reminded - of the, book, and felt, nostalgic it is certainly, odd that, anyone, should; punctuate; incorrectly don't you, think? Perhaps we can read it concurrently and (compare), notes that would, be = interesting. :)

Its definately a possibility. And Im especialy fastidious about speling and not prepositions ending sentenses, with. Not too mention Zen tax. Its clear that we share many interests in common together jointly both of us, like the avoidance of unnecessary duplicative redundancy, just e.g., for an example, to cite one instants. I feel certifiable that I'm every bit as matriculous about grammer and dicshun as you our.
@Mark. I absolutely agree but I would like to clearly state that I do not often stress about splitting infinitives.

It's an awesome book James. I highly recommend it as well

Good to hear. I picked up a copy of The Shadow of the Wind this week for $3.
I've finished two books this week - Bedlam: London and Madness, ok, good if you're interested in history. And Wildthorn which I particularly enjoyed.
Am still reading bit by bit Stumbling Toward Enlightenment, and enjoying what I read. Am hoping to start something for my September challenge, or the Spring challenge, but need to clear a few books first.

It's good but Reichs is starting to get a bit predictable and ordinary. She needs to think of something new soon. And how long can Temperance and Ryan carry on without actually getting together?

I'm trying to finish a few books I'm part way through, and then hope to start on the September and Spring reads. But I'm having to face the fact that I can't keep up with the reading, especially now I have a couple of groups I'm following.

Personally, I'm helped by having no life.

I do it by not sleeping very much!

I should think the OED or the Brisbane Telephone Directory, but the Epic of Gilgamesh is good, too, especially in the original Sumerian. I like the part with the stupid snake of life. I think it's on clay tablet #353, on your kindle.
@ Mark Personally I don't think much of the Brisbane Telephone Directory. In fact I don't really enjoy the whole directory genre.

Well, you know, I tend to agree, but the directory genre is an important part of the postmodernist canon.

That's a conversation stopper right there. :)

I finished Bones Are Forever which was very ordinary. Starting 1Q84, #1 now. I have heard lots of good things about it!

Ahhh.....that's the secret. Thank you, I will cancel any life I thought I might once have had (my daughters tell me I have no life already so it will not be hard!).

I do most of my reading travelling on the train to and from TAFE (near Central) and my part time work (in North Ryde). I'm in Parramatta so it can be a fair hike. I don't mind though.

Marc, you are such a cynic. Clay tablet, indeed! LOL. I've started Ruth Rendell Portobello. Another Brit. :)
Just finished
and it was brilliant! Quirky and well written and very surprising. About to move on to

so just started The Shadow Rising.
i always like a fantasy book but sometimes there is so much to comprehend with them being quite long and filled with weird places/people and magical stuffs :( hopefully this book won't end on a high note so i won't be so quick to jump into the next one.
