I just finished The Big Picture by Douglas Kennedy - I really like his writing, so I flew through this book in a day.I have just started re-reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - which I enjoyed the first time, but am enjoying it so much more this time.

Love it Katie and the series gets better. I'm currently listening to book 5.
Awesome :) I own the whole series so I'm excited to read them all :) I just borrowed city of ashes (sorry on iPod again LOL) from the library so I'm gonna read that aswell as tomorrow when the war began. I loved city of bones :)
I'm 125pages in and I'm loving it couldn't put it down until the girls got home from kindy LOL they're in bed now so time for me to read again.... Hahaha YAY!!!
I had to click a few links - just couldn't resist! City of Ashes didn't really appeal to me, at least not right now - but I bought 'Tomorrow, When The War Began'. It was on sale (on Kindle in the UK, where my account is still registered) - £2.50, that's less than $4! Hard to resist that kind of bargain... well, impossible to resist. At least for me...Good recommendations, folks :0)
Tony
That’s understandable Tony….City of Bones and Ashes is not for everyoneBut it’s great you bought Tomorrow, When the War Began and what a bargain :) Let us know what you think when you get around to reading it
Will do Mish! I might even try the 'City of' books at some stage, though I suspect my wife (who loves YA and Vamps) would be more into them. Just snowed under at the mo, working on my second book, and trying to read all the stacks of books written by indie author friends (who seem to be annoyingly prolific!)Tony

I just read When First They Met Debbie Macomber's eShort prequel to her new series, The Inn at Rose Harbor, and Maeve Binchy's eShort A Week in Summer: A Short Story, both on my Kindle for PC (as I don't have an actual Kindle). I'm mentioning this because both were available only for US residents, which meant that with an Aussie address on my Amazon account, I couldn't download them, and this rather p***ed me off. So then I changed my Kindle account address to c/- a friend in USA, paid & downloaded the stories, changed my address back. What a rigmarole! But I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else runs into this problem. I'm not sure if this is illegal, but, hey, I DID pay for them both, so.... I do wonder why some Kindle books are only available in certain countries..........

I've found quite a number I haven't been able to download because of this reason Marianne! It's annoying, but must be something to do with copyright, I guess!

Hi everyone! After a period of inactivity due to uni (kicked off research project) and marathon training, I am picking up fiction again (can you tell it's uni break). Will start reading The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller (won the Orange Prize this year, pssst they say it's a homoerotica!). Also pssst I HAVE read Fifty Shades of Grey (all three!) and have enjoyed it *grin*

I have to admit I didn't finish the third book - couldn't stomach any more of that bad writing and predictable plot and yeah, however dreamy Grey is, I needed to get back to earth, IYKWIM! But was good fun overall :-)
I have just finished Yakuza Moon: memoirs of a gangsters daughter. It was an interesting read, much thinner book than I had expected but I was unable to put it down, unfortunalty that meant I only read it on the flight down and had nothing on the flight back.I'm about to start a book for a book club I am in called Desperate Duchesses.
