I'm a little way into Caleb's Crossing but think that I will enjoy this one. If only I can shake this rotten cold so that I can read when I get into bed instead of going straight to sleep!

Knitting!?! Interesting Steph lol!
I'm currently reading I'll Tell You Mine for the winter challenge. Can't say I'm particularly impressed with it. Seems like a very run of the mill teenage fiction - misfit sent to boarding school as punishment for "the terrible thing she did" which isnt revealed to the reader just yet (and I'm half way through). Usual teenage angst. Oh well, it wont take long to read. Then I'm on to something else.
I'm currently reading Magic Bites im enjoying it but not as much as Kelley Armstrong's women of the otherworld books...Also i just finished reading Precious very emotional and raw!
Started The Boy Next Door by Irene Sabatini the other day. Kind of slow at this stage but it has potential!
Just picked up a few books from the library - Picnic at Hanging Rock; Spirit House and Swift - all for my challenges.I also purchased The Daughters of Mars this morning, also for a challenge read. Luckily I have finished The Good Parents this morning so that helps clear the decks a bit for these books.

I'm reading ''Wool", an indie book which is doing ridiculously well. Seriously, I bought it when I saw it had like 600+ 5 star reviews!!It's sci-fi (but only of the possible-future-on-Earth variety, not crazy aliens and spaceships) and it's absolutely fantastic. So well written and really gripping.
Only thing I'm wondering is, can you download it in Australia? I got it 'cause my account is still registered in England, but I recommended it to my sister-in-law and she said she couldn't download it. Odd! I didn't want to insult her Kindling skills, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else knew about an issue with not being able to 'get' some overseas books. It's indie, so I can't see the rights being an issue...
Anyway, if anyone can get it, and fancies it, then you should! Highly recommended, even for non-SF fans (it's the characters and their claustrophobic life that fascinate).
Oh, and it's in a series of 5 books, each 77p (about a dollar?). There is an omnibus too, which in hindsight I should have bought - not only is it cheaper, but yesterday at the gym I finished book 2 and - horror of horrors - had to WAIT until I got home to download book 3?! My God, I nearly had a heart-attck at the prospect. :0)
I'll find the cover thingumy, hang on...
SO worth it!

Not available to me to download Tony:( I've found that with quite a few of the kindle books...there must be some issue with only US or UK or something...I don't know. But it's happened before and says 'not currently available' where I usually click to download!

D'oh! Such a shame. Maybe it'll change soon? Meanwhile, I'll read the rest of 'em and stick a review up, to tantalise you even more. Then I'll try and find something to read that you can download...

A review would be great...I'm really not sure as to the why, but I guess they have their reasons!

I can only guess it's rights - if the author doesn't have the rights to any particular place, they state that at the upload stage. Maybe this guy has already sold the Aussie rights elsewhere? Or wants to keep his options open... Very odd though. Most indies will sell anywhere! Oh, maybe Amazon themselves have something to do with it - maybe they've signed the author and are starting to take it off sale or something. He is doing very well, so it's a possibility. Lucky bugger!

I'm really enjoying The Handmaid's Tale, trying not to rush it so I started The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Other Tales of Terror last night.
just read and really enjoyed Stephen King Full Dark, No Stars. I forget between books how much I enjoy King's writing. These were 4 great stories, not overly gory, two had strong female characters and were my faves Big Driver and A Good Marriage.
