What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book)
Stuck on The Red Necklace by Sally Gardner. Its not terrible, it just that the writing is impossible to read. Every second line there is a simile or metaphor or something like that. Its ridiculous.
I am still working my way through the Inspector Montalbano series of mysteries by Andrea Camilleri. I am thoroughly enjoying them. The one I am just starting is The Snack Thief, I have just finished Track of Sand. If you like mysteries and shorter books this is an excellent series.

I do not like to read the book after seeing the film or vica versa. I can highly recommend the film.
Just finished Divergent I really liked it (which is great considering I thought I would hate it)

I've just finished a reread of Julius Caesar and just started Burqalicious: The Dubai Diaries. What a contrast!
I'm reading Michael Connolly's The Lincoln Lawyer at the moment. I saw the film and enjoyed it, so thought I'd try the book. So far it's just like the film so I am enjoying it too.My daughter is nagging me to read A Game of Thrones so that's probably next on the list.

I'm reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, which is really very good; I don't read a lot of YA, but I'm sure enjoying this one.

Meltdown by Ben Elton. Read most of his stuff and find it fairly amusing and laid-back, but it doesn't seem to rate well amongst other people.

I've started another Nicci French book, Complicit. Not quite into it yet, and I'm not sure if it will be a favorite.
Haven't had any time for reading lately. Haven't actually opened any book in a week - life seems to be getting in the way of reading. So if I go 'missing' for a while don't be alarmed.

been reading some robin hobb. i get the feeling she loves despair. not long after you start to like a character they either die, turn evil or something bad happens to them..but they are pretty good otherwise

It was fantastic! Great concept, great writing, I'd certainly recommend it! This seems to be the first in a series; I can't wait for the next installment.

I don't know where you live, but is there a Foreign Language Bookstore within reach? You might find something there.

Have started Love in The Age of Drought which is for my Spring challenge.
I've just finished reading November's Calamity's Corner. It was great to see Rick Bylina's murder mystery books available in print and download. And to read about The House on the Square featuring that old heart throb, Tyrone Power. The movie is available on DVD so Calamity says. Mystery writer, Carole Sutton, tells of her adventure with a pair of Maned Wood ducks who left two of their brood behind and how she and husband, Bill, brought the family together. Maybe worth ringing the Botanic Gardens shop, or sometimes there are travel guides for flora and fauna which must be produced in languages other than english

Have started reading four books, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children for the November challenge, Foundling for the Aussie challenge and Casino Royale for the Spring Challenge and The Artist Is a Thief just because the cover was staring at me. I read different books in different locations.

I just finished Burqalicious: The Dubai Diaries. An interesting read if you want to know about Dubai.
have no finished it but put all other books down haha sucks because I have had to work over time this week (3 12 hour days) as to cover for another work mate who has to have the week off...have had no time to read it, and im only 100 pages in :(
I read inheritance the other day. Not sure if disappointed or not when i think about it... The writing was almost immature i guess, a lot of moments where i thought it could have been worded better (haven't read the other 3 in a while so not sure if just this one or the whole series). It could definately being done in 3 books, if some moments in the eldest and brinsgr had been wiped, almost wish it was. This book was definately a filler. Either way it was an enjoyable read and a good finish to the series.back onto the collected short stories of Roald Dahl. (absolutely fantastic) Just read the short story The Champion of the World (from which Danny, The Champion of the World was based). His style and stories are great :D not sure whether i like his adult or child novels better, both great

Week from hell is over! Exams and essays done for this semester (well, to be honest, all but one). So... I am back! Starting my reading spree with Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Although I am not a SJ worshipper but I am an Apple fangirl. The book received mixed reviews, so should be interesting! Btw, trying to catch up with 6 months worth of posts, lol... love what everyone's reading :)

Just started 'No Good Deed," by M P McDonald, this one really draws you in from the opening scene.
Just started I am Number Four. I will reserve judgement until I'm finished. At least it is a quick read.
