I loved Half Moon Bay by Helene Young Sharon!
Sharon, to link your books, go to "add book/author" in the top of your comment box, type in your book title (or ISBN) and hit "search", then click on "add". You can put either the title or the cover in (it lets you choose down the bottom of the drop down box)

That's a huge book Michelle. Good luck with it.
And I see that you're a new member. When you have a moment would you like to introduce yourself in this thread so we can all say hello

I'm currently reading Game of Thrones. I was a little reticent to read it, given the hype (sometimes that can ruin a book for me), but when I read the things my favourite fantasy authors said about it, I had to pick it up and I have to say, I'm really loving it. Despite the fact I've seen the show and they've followed the book quite closely in the show, I am enjoying it and in moments it still has the ability to surprise.

A lot of people seem to be enjoying A Game of Thrones at the moment Leisl:)

I cannot stand the way George R.R. Martin writes. Game of Thrones fits into the same category as Lord of the Rings for me, where I love the media based off it, but actually reading it makes me want to kill myself.

It is pretty big. I must say I was a little intimidated before I started, but I'm enjoying it so far. I'll see how I feel about it in a month!

My husband was keen and started reading it but then got fed up and he loves fantasy. He is a he Robert Jordan fan and reads and re-reads them. Others rave over Game of Thrones.
I'm currently working on The Short Victorious War by David Weber. Although I've read a lot of sic-fi, I've never read David Weber. Got to love his treecats!

Cloudstreet by Tim Winton. Up to page 170. I hope something happy or hopeful happens soon. Otherwise I should just turn on Today Tonight or A Current Affair to get thoroughly depressed.

The title of this book would render it one I would normally not read. It was a freebie and picked it up because my library book had not become available yet. And surprisingly, I'm glad I did.My review is at http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/627852020

The Last Letter from Your Lover by Jojo Moyes
OK, I finished
, I agree wholeheartedly about the tissues. What a wonderful read! I can't believe that this didn't win the Miles Franklin and
did. These were the only two I had read of the longlist, but I know which one I'd have picked, hands down!
Glad you enjoyed it Marianne. I haven't read Questions of Travel. My review of
is now up here.http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Today's free ebook from Amazon from the free books for a fortnight scheme is The Blue Sweater: Bridging the Gap Between Rich and Poor in an Interconnected World. Have read only 10% of it till now, but it is very interesting and even more thought-provoking. Thought someone else might be interested in it too...You'd have to change your country to India in your amazon account but I think the book is worth doing that for once. - http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html...

I just finished reading
for about the 3rd time. This book captivates and amazes me every time I read it. I am still divided over 'that' part of the book and I just can't decide how I feel about it.
But the cruelty and heartlessness of the mother and grandmother take my breath away and bring me to tears every time.

Unless it is a bug, it isn't taking me to the right place.

No, no bug, please see preview notation by Mish, 18 hours ago. I can't work out how to link this so I'm just trying to practice. Don't know where to put those first damn thingys! Really sorry to confuse you.
I don't know what's wrong :( Mish seems to have done what you did and yet your's isn't showing. Once you're done with that and succeeded, would you mind showing me how you created the link in your latest post? I've tried very often but never got the results :(
Well, even though it shows as a link in your post, I can't click on it. Wonder what's wrong. Apparently, others' don't seem to have any issues, so maybe you're linking it correctly but maybe there's some fault in your PC or whatever you're using or perhaps, it might just be a bug - well, I've honestly no idea. :(
