Introductions!

I'm Courtney, in my early 30's, living in suburban Indy with The Husband and crazy toddler.
I ran over to TN last week to share in my despair over Allegiant (seriously, wtf?)and it led me here. Allegiant was worse than Breaking Dawn, imprinting and all. Yup, I said it.
I love YA, still, and I don't know what that says about me. I will read just about anything though, and I have loads of Twilight fanfic to prove it.
I don't drink but I will be enjoying a Mexican coke right along with everyone else.

I'm a newspaper columnist, tv host, blogger in Michigan. I'm probably 100 years older than everyone in the group but hope you forgive me. I've loved JAMMF before y'all were born and I can KICK!
Seriously, happy to find this group and can't wait to join in on the next book.

Anyway, I'm Brandy, I'm 29, married with one kiddo and (if the "y'all" didn't give it away) living in Abilene, TX.
I will read almost anything, but obviously I think Outlander is the best.
Oh, and I'm a beer snob and cheap wine enthusiast.
I don't really know what to say in these, so let's booze it up y'all!

My main job is mom (chick in charge) to two teenage boys, but I also teach and I'm trying my own hand at writing. I can be found on twitter @joiedemidvivre, and Pintrest too.
My obsessions are Outlander, the Arsenal football club (eye candy!), fashion, dark chocolate and most things French (see Olivier Giroud). Being a good Irish Catholic girl, my drink of choice is whiskey, specifically Jameson (with water and lemon, yum!)
Beth, I'm also near Memphis. We need to find all the Outlander crazies in town and find a place for viewing parties when the series starts.

I'm @danyspike on twitter!

Hi Dany - I'm following you now. I would love to have some beta readers. Do I just post a few chapters here on Goodreads and let you know?

Hi Brandy: I am pending following you on Twitter. Nice to meet you.

Uhm..YES! :D

Welcome to TN, Jo! I hope you have fun!

I grew up just outside of St. Louis (St. Chuck) and I love the area. I love it that you are all over the place on book genres. I once read "A Natural History of the Senses" by Diane Ackerman. I think I would love the history of language. Author?
I consider it completely normal to cyberstalk Sam and I do so myself. Some days, when life is a little bleah, I watch the YouTube posts where he teaches Outlander speak and it's just enough toe-curling squeee to brighten my day. As for the Outlander series. . . on the good side, DG gets you lost in this fabulous world and you do sort of forget to do things like feed your family (for a while). On the bad side, you get to the end of the series and she leaves you jonesing for more, fast. Luckily now we have all the Starz stuff to help us along till we get more from the book series.
I just joined the group myself, but welcome from me.

I will read it in the next few days, thank you so much for sharing, Karen!!

My name is Lisa and I became a fan of That's Normal through Outlander, starting following along on Twitter so thought I would check out the blogs. I live in Central Ohio but am originally from Upstate NY (Adirondacks not Westchester County!). I love to read with Outlander and the Harry Potter books being my favorites! Twilight and The Hunger Games were my first dives into YA fiction. I'm a mom to two, married 20 years and am an ICU nurse/reasearch coordinator at a children's hospital. And for all of you Croc fans for gardening, Dansko or Sanita clogs are much better! The hard heel makes it much easier, and less painful to kick that shovel/spade in!
Looking forward to hopefully joining in on some book club reads!

Um, I hate to say this, but I will need to concentrate all my energies on absorbing all details ALONE. ;)

Welcome to all the newbies in Boozy Book Club! Thanks for introducing yourselves. Sometimes I come back in here and check out what you said about yourself if I see on twitter or in the comments on the blog. But I'm bad about saying hello in the first place. Hope you guys are having fun.

Can't wait to read with you guys. :)

I read for entertainment and an escape at the end of my day so I'm not particularly choosy about what I read. My favorite genre is historical fiction but I love anything about complex interpersonal relationships. Oh and some sexy times are good too. ;-)

I look forward to joining the book discussions!

I'm Courtney. I'm 27 living in LA with my boyfriend of *almost* 8 years, our dog and two cats in a 1 bedroom apartment, so reading and wine are my "me time" tools. My drink of choice is a good malbec or red blend.
I just found That's Normal from Goodreads actually - I'm in the Outlander group and someone posted a link to the post about things her hubby said during the first episode, which I found HILARIOUS! And whatdayaknow, I found a new group of people to like. :)
I'm excited to join some of these discussions!

YAY. Keep up with us on twitter (@thats_normal) and Facebook as well. We don't post in the goodreads forum as often as we should, and for the next couple of weeks we are on book club hiatus.
PS It was my husband who said all that horrible stuff. Glad his ignorance sucked you in.

I'm Melanie and am *cough, cough* 49. I live in central Pennsylvania and have been happily married for 24 years. We have two daughters in college, which means we're broke. I work in healthcare finance so need the creative outlet of reading and dabbling in writing to get away from the number crunching. I became acquainted with Twilight through my daughters and then lurked around LTT/LTR and other Twilight blogs for a few years but was always too embarrassed to comment. Who is this middle-aged woman obsessed with Twilight? Luckily I was able to suck one of my best friends into the frenzy and we had a lot of fun with it. Now I follow TN.
Since the Twilight experience I've read some more YA but I probably read mystery more than anything. I am usually game for nearly any genre though. I have a 1 and 1/2 hour commute and often listen to audiobooks in the car. Lately I've been listening to the Outlander series since I read the books so long ago. It's like rekindling an old love.
I generally drink whiskey, vodka or a glass of wine. And apparently I like to talk too much. End ramble.

I, too, enjoy mysteries more than anything. Welcome!!

what book are we reading now? there seems to be a million going on at once, do I just pick a book and jump in somewhere?"
Welcome Welcome Welcome Molly! Glad to have you.
Jump in wherever you want to. The book(s) we are reading this month officially are Night Film by Marisha Pessl and Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. The discussion threads are always open, so lots of books are getting talked about all the time, but the books for the month should be at the very top of the group page.
